    Ryan, is there a reason why certain vargas exist while others do not? For e.g. the D-11 (to the best if my knowledge) is not commonly used although mathematically possible.
    Thanks :)

      Supposedly they all exist. There is just only a little writing on even the ones that exist!

    what if planet are debilitated in birth chart but have highest points in shad bala like venus in virgo but in 10th house and sun in libra in 11th house? do they give bad results becoz of poor dignity?

    • @RyansVedicAstrology
      @RyansVedicAstrology  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They give more frustration in attempting to acheive their goals. But at the end of the day, you may often feel like you did your best. Shadbala is quite complicated.. that's why we are spending a whole course on it here... ashevillevedicastrology.wordpress.com/events/planetary-strength-and-mathematical-influence-shadbala-astrology-apprenticeship-class-2017/

      Ryan Kurczak sir thanks for replying truely debilitated planets give frustration could you clarify one more thing like if the planet being debilitated like 4 example i said my earlier comment sun is in 11th but depositor venus is in kendra but also debilitated and if depositor of venus i.e mercury is in libra with sun not combust. is it like double neech bhang and also parivartan yog there? and with that all venusvand sun has highest shadbal so can debilitaled planets in kendra or upachaya house can be good to some extent or only neechbhang could help?

    when You speak about 10th lord in dasamsa. Do you mean 10th bhava cusp or 10th sign lord from lagna?

  • @skystranger73
    @skystranger73 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I believe the karaka for the 10th house is Mercury, not the Sun, as it is stated in "karakatwas of the grahas" chapter of bphs "The Karakatwas of the Bhava in order are Sūrya, Guru, Mangal, Candr, Guru, Mangal, Śukr, Śani, Guru, Budh, Guru and Śani." And I heared people stating that there are as many as 4 (Sun, Mars, Saturn, Mercury) karakas of the 10th house, which is wrong I think.

    • @RyansVedicAstrology
      @RyansVedicAstrology  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Mercury does make a lot of sense, but so does Mars, Saturn and Sun, Jupiter and the rest of the planets. Based on their qualities they will relate to that aspect (their particular quality) of the 10th house. Just like Saturn can display Karakaship for the 8th house related to longevity, and Venus can also have Karakaship of the 8th for that which Venus indicates that relates to the 8th house. Remember, these texts are NOT the final say, meaning that just because they don't say something doesn't mean its not appropriate. The texts are learning materials, to teach one to think like an astrologer, so the astrologer can learn to "infer" the rest. Otherwise, all we would be doing is predicting marriage at 9 years old, and having many elephants and palanquins (for a very simplistic example).

    • @skystranger73
      @skystranger73 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, I suppose we could link almost all grahas to almost all bhavas if we wanted to, but what would be the point of doing so ? In that case you'd just complicate things unnecessarily, because instead of looking at one graha as a constant significator you'd have to look at 4 or 5 of them. I think we must accept that scriptures like Hora Shastra were written by people who had far superior intellect compared to ours (especially considering that we are living in Kali Yuga) and we are not exactly in a position to question their judgement or loosely interpret their statements. But that's just my opinion. If you think logically, there are 12 signs and 12 bhavas, so there must be 12 karakas of bhavas (grahas that most closely related to certain areas of life). For example, Sun is the karaka of the first house, since the Sun represents the soul and personality of living beings. Isn't that logical ? Jupiter is the karaka of the 5th house, because Jupiter represents wisdom and knowledge, things seen from the 5th house. Likewise, Mercury is said to be karaka of the 10th, because one's main field(s) of activity (profession) is decided according to their skills, intellect and speech primarily. Anyway, I found it to work quite well.

    • @RyansVedicAstrology
      @RyansVedicAstrology  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I totally understand your logic and ideas, however, when I look at the karakas for career, I do look at the Sun first, for one's ability to be in tune with and follow their sva dharma. I look to Mercury for their ability to properly manage the execution of that ability. I look to Jupiter to see if they have the capacity to find purpose and innate happiness in their work and if they approach it with wisdom. I look to Venus to see if they have a natural sense of devotion to their work and if their desires are in harmony with that work. I look to Mars to see if they execute their work with proper initiative. I look to the Moon to see how adaptable they are in reaching their goals, and if they find it emotionally satisfying and in tune with the needs of others. I look to Saturn to see if they have the capacity to endure all the hardships and tedious activities to make it worth while. This could be overcomplicating things in some people's eyes, but my experience has shown that if we understand how the planets relate to all the bhavas we get a clearer more precise picture of the situation. Surely, I could use just one and that would be fine. And in that case, it is good to follow the basics outlined in the texts provided. How one feels about overcomplication is subjective though. Some people love the band Nirvana because they are simple and to the point and they get the job done. Others might say Nirvana is a bit one dimensional. Some love the band Rush, because they compose such intricate pieces. Others don't like Rush because they feel its overcomplicating a very simple genre of rock music. At the end of the day, if you like Rush and you enjoy it and can play it on your guitar, or if you are only a fan of Nirvana, its the music that matters most.

    9th house for marriage? I thought 7th, maybe for D-9

    • @RyansVedicAstrology
      @RyansVedicAstrology  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      they both play a role. 7th is partner and desires that get you into relationship. 9th is the commitment the long term path of your life represented by marriage.
