Even though I respect Dan Inosanto, I feel that he has destroyed the legacy of JKD When he started adding Philipino Martial arts to JKD. It’s good to see that Carruthers is staying true to the original concept.

to think about, JKD is like a car it will never be that 70s model, the car needs to evolve over time, this original jkd talk is kind of detached because that's exactly what I said, dan Inosanto saved JKD for making him grow and accompany humanity, I admire Tommy carruthers but saying that dan inosanto is wrong is a lot of hypocrisy

Lols, we back at 70's JKD has or have already Filipino fighting method on their system. And remember JDK, is not only on 1 system.

I disagree with Rickster , I met Guro Inosanto and he had Bruce intrigued with Escrema and Philipino stick fighting which he taught Bruce and Bruce use it in his arsenal!! That's the essence if JDK where it is constantly evolving and expanding!! Mr. Inosanto is a great teacher and well versed in JKD and used other arts to improve it as did Mr. Lee, I highly respect both Mr. Inosanto and Mr. Carruthers who I've yet to meet but as a martial artist myself I was inspired to learn JDK and I'm a better martial artist for it.

One thing you will notice, is that in all of Lee’s writings and public statements, he never mentions it even once.
