As a professional debate bro myself, I can confirm that she is mostly correct here. I will say however that her rhetorical approach is too formulaic for my liking. I'd much rather take an unorthodox approach and just have a good understanding of the subject matter, as well as knowing my sources. You also need to be able to adjust your approach depending on what the debate is on and who your opponent is.

If ever there was a sport that encouraged cognitive dissonance, this is it. There is something called a spirit of debate, no more so on view as with the Founding Fathers. There was a moral underpinning to debate based on what was best for the greater good. Therefore, debating wasn't picking a side and defending it until the death - it meant discussing with the assumption of compromise. Is anyone on the far left or right capable of that? This is why we need moderates in positions of power.
She seems like a very bright kid. But I think she is has to slow down her cadence a lot. Talking too rapid makes you sound like a livestock auctioneer and what you say will just go over people's heads. Look at almost any of the recorded great speeches in history and nobody is talking hyper rapidly.
I really like debates and I also participate in them my dream is to be a lawyer. seeing how she is debating and how a dream of being a lawyer is inspirational and makes me think I am on the right path.
