My biggest struggle is remembering facts/stats when I’m put on the spot. I really struggle with confidence within confrontation, and often times arguments/debates feel very confrontational 😅

I’m my head I’m fictionally confident. But just starting a confrontation, or what should be a confrontation, gets shortened by my shaking voice.
Your stress tolerance is low. Maybe start doing other things your afraid /make u nervous to build up to it. Even if it's just saying HI to people and handle the rejection of a response back.

As a professional debate bro myself, I can confirm that she is mostly correct here. I will say however that her rhetorical approach is too formulaic for my liking. I'd much rather take an unorthodox approach and just have a good understanding of the subject matter, as well as knowing my sources. You also need to be able to adjust your approach depending on what the debate is on and who your opponent is.
Her approach appears formulaic because it's dumbed down for the layman. She said to have a good understanding of the subject matter and know your sources, which is what you just said.

I really like debates and I also participate in them my dream is to be a lawyer. seeing how she is debating and how a dream of being a lawyer is inspirational and makes me think I am on the right path.
This is my problem with debate. There is no moral compass. Anyone can defend a crook. Anyone can prosecute an innocent man.
What makes a great debator? Someone who knows the facts, lives in reality, and have an understanding of how the world works. And last but not least, don't be a liberal.
