Cabbage: been following you since I started on JP months ago. Great you are helping out the global folks too. I would suggest you make a character development guide. Not "buy their shards and push the button" but what stats to look for in armor/weapons, good espers for characters, job level progression= stat boosts, etc. I sort of summarized it all there but theres a lot to take in on this game when you just start out.
Good channel ! Enjoy the way you present things, and your normal human reaction instead of “OMG OMG OMG” overreaction that a lot of people do when getting something new. Keep making vids man you’re good
Interested about your F2P progress and also your JP one! Some reviews about units (doesnt have to be detailed, just your thought about them sounds enough for me). Keep up the good work and have fun :D

Personally, the information you gave about how to get Thancred was very interesting and helpful. Stuff like that, how to maneuver in the shop, get certain units, suggestions what to do with certain banners, how to beat certain stages, and so on. That would be very helpful.
I'm still very confused what I should be spending visiore on, as the shop is so complex. Good to know from your perspective from JP how we should be saving/spending based on how the game eventually progresses.

That was my goal!
The adjustments from JP are pretty great so far. For $1 I can buy the 60 gem + 3 large stamina bottle pack, get the free bonus goodies, and spend the 60 gems on the daily beginner shop chest, and get 1 rainbow + 10 xp cubes and 10 select ticket of both elemental materials. That's a whole lot of bang for my buck.
My favorite videos are probably the hard content videos on JP, it gives me a good heads up of what to plan for. Also the monthly box progress is always fun to watch.
some suggestions: banner reviews, tips from your experience in JP, how to build guides for popular units, best bundles to buy. Later more guides around VC, espers, and the dreaded crafting
I love if you could make general advice videos, like how we should be spending our time/energy moving from beginning through mid-game. Weapons to go for, espers to go for, all of that kind of stuff would be super helpful. I've loved your videos so far!

Richard Gartodus Thanks! Yeah, I’ve also seen some TH-camrs that don’t put as much care into their videos or knowledge. There are actually not many good JP TH-camrs, some of the kore popular ones just ramble and make dumb predictions

Even if JP is your main, I would still like you to do update videos on GL. Both for UR review, but maybe also for events and QoL changes. Not for comparisons sake to JP, but for information sake. For example, how you just explained and adviced on Thancred and Y'shtola was really good. I think you would cover stuff like this if you shared your F2P progress in GL, so I'd love to see that
I'm not F2P but I am sure getting LB3 in Thancred is very doable as F2P. If you get lucky once or twice from the tickets and get 40 shards of Thancred that you need; or from the normal shop refreshes, then you good to start farming tomestones. 20 days is a lot, as long as you play daily you can grind Y'shtola first then Thancred parallel with her. Also roughly if you do all the challenge missions for 5 battles of the event + the normal conquest stage, you definitely will have 15000 tomestones to get the first Thancred copy, and battle #4 and #5 is doable with level 25-30 characters Plus a strong friend.

Hello Cabbage, do you think I should go for Englebert or Mediana still? My current units are Gilgamesh, Mont's dad, Xiza, Fina. Idk if I should save for Tactics event or try and get what everyone else was aiming for. I want Gilgamesh regardless due to liking his design
You seen pretty knowledgeable about the game, I just started playing it and would love to see your progress as a f2p, I think it would be cool for new players like me.
In your experience, how much does a step-up banner costs in total? I’ve only truly pulled for the one-time guaranteed UR step up banner and have managed to save 12k lapis since. Is that enough for how many banners? And what characters would you recommend to save for? My team so far has been Mediena, Xiza, Robb, Mont and Y’shtola (yes, I was very lucky with those 10x pull tickets we got through beginners quest and the tutorial). Is that a reasonable team or I need someone to round it up? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure but I think I saw some cards raising def and spr stat but I don't see them displayed on that unit stats screeen. What is this all about?
Can you do an equipment guide? I am having issues finding a good one and I should be able to equip weapons on my units based on their class and restrictions but can't and the Gun Blade weapon crafting pattern is in the shop at 150 per blueprint, is there a reason why I would buy more than one, since I see a healthy stack of 100 I assume there is but I cannot figure out why.

regarding Thancred, if I Don't buy all his shards with Crystal, does that mean i'll never be able to max him out? (until an eventual future event where he appears)
Yoooo thats crazy, you pulled Ayaka! I pulled her from the free ticket for completing chapter 1 but the last crystal was just yellow so I assumed I was gonna get an MR so I skipped but it turned out to be her instead! Got a lil bummed cause I didn’t see her intro animation but you technically helped me with that already so thanks! Lol
I got Mediena and Engelbert from the step up and a bunch of MR light units so even though I like limited time UR I think I might skip him unless I some how get him from the tickets, great vids they’ve been very helpful
You are such a wonderful explainer. Your calm and dont speak too fast like others do. Im sure you already do this, but in a English\Global point of view could you make videos explaining details on each character even the common ones and what benefits them in a comp formation build?
I would personally be interested in your progress in both if possible, and would you also be able to do an elemental comparison between units such as Orlandeu and Frederika and which would be more viable to use day to day or more useful in which places in the game. I am more interested in towers than Pvp, being new I am not sure which characters to build up for the most part
Dang, so getting 240 shards for Than is going to be expensive? 12k vision and if you don't pull him from a ticket then even more? Ooof seems like a lot, how much vision do you get per month roughly doing dailies?

I think F2P playthru on ur account with occasional insight of upcoming update on JP is the way to go so we can “embrace yourself winter is coming” kinda way

dude i literally got him from ticket summon from event shop (the one that you can only buy 3 times a day), i didn't notice that he is available in drop rate, how much he's rate to drop from summon though?

Sorry, quick question. I bought some of the FF14 summon tickets, but I can't figure out how to use them. It only gives me the option to spend crystals. What am I missing?
Go to the hatcher screen and hit the ticket summon button in the lower right!

Can you get those UR by collecting shards? Like accumulate to 40 or 80 you will get the character directly without going to Summon?

Yeah, that’ll be impossible. 3 crystals is where you should stop

I started yesterday. Got Mediena as my first UR, then Xiza and just now, Thancred from those tickets I got from completing shadowbringer event mission. I don't know if I want to commit to Ystola to get her TMR or buff up Thancred
Global is more interesting. JP version is mostly irrelevant for most of users because not many of us can play JP version. Nevertheless your content is good so far, may be more info about tips and important stuff to know would be nice, like what you told about Thancred.
I got thancred and was wondering if it's worth working on him if you're free to play? If you have to whale to work on him then I'll wait for tactics collab
You would have to spend 12,000 lapis to buy his shards from the shop. That could be 6 10-shots in the future which hurts, ha ha
when will the WOL or Tactics banner come out?
If I got Thancrad from the FFIX summon ticket, should I buy the 15000 tombstones for dupe (is it possible to get shard from dupe like that)?. And how many shard does a dupe UR give?. Your guide is so good for new player like me. Thank you.

Have been enjoying your videos for a month now, and it has been such a useful guide for me as a beginner in global.
I do have one question however regarding increasing job level.
I would like to increase Medina's black mage level from 5 to 6, and it requires this item called "Black Mage's Memory (blue), which it says it can be farmed in certain story scene. However, I have been farming in that battle for around 15 times, and haven't been able to get even one of them.
Please need your guide here on how to farm that material.

Hyperion It’s a very rare drop. I once farmed for two hours without getting one! Keep at it.

Recommended summons or original investments?
Investment in character or espers that are, more or less common, and worth being early units to invest resources in- i keep seeing rare sales but I don't know what's rare enough to spare a purchase

Thancred is good but just aim for 240 shards and LV 79, he’s too expensive otherwise

with all of these guest characters makes me wonder if some obscured characters would be revealed? Regardless if they are from like FF Dimensions 1+2, Bravely Default, or even something as obscured like Mystic Quest. Wonder how far they'll go, though i do hope they'll not over power the original characters they are developing through out the story.

Which MR units good for healing? I dont have any of your recommendation healer ayaka and that SR unit..
Yshtola can heal, but you got to unlock her 2nd white mage sub job
Grace, Fina, Kadia, and Phoebe all get the job done
Can you let us know about whether it's worth spending visiore on expanding your chocobo farming slots, which dailys you prioritize etc?

Kind of late, but I would really like if you could give your opinion on current global events and how and if they are worth it. Like, are the current crafting events worth it, or in a month we'll get something better so don't waste your time, that kind of thing.
The ninja sword and the gun are worth getting, it will be a while before they are offered again. The great sword and axe will be offered again fairly soon, but if you can use them now (Sterne or Yerma) get them now

How to farm top level FFXIV event? I was gettong slaughtered in lv 60 quest (quest 4) and ex
Yeah, I haven’t even tried those yet. You want a full team of at least LV 40 and a strong friend

First I bring a strong merc/friend for no ko and no cont mission, then just dont bring a friend to get all mission clear, then finish it up to 5 times for event
Battle 5 is horrible, Luckily with a strong friend I can get through it (mainly bringing lv 50+ thancred/10k gold each time) and clear 5 time, I cannot pass the no KO though, the boss oneshot through my weaker team member
Conquest lv 1 is easier then battle 5
I have yet tried EX1, EX2, and Conquest lv 10 but will need to clear each 3 times, might be doable in next 14 days

SENSEI!! I have a question.. so I been pulling for 7 hours and finally got mediena and an old man samurai but I used only my visiore that was given for registering. the 3500 and have yet to pull the last step up with garuntee UR, and do tutorial quest.
but my other account I got three ayakas and one old man but thats after using all my visoire / Step ups, which one should I keep? Thank you!

The tickets pull from the general pool which doesn’t include limited or the newest unit (probably, things could be different in Global)

I rerolled for hours trying to get her. I got everyone other UR in the game at least twice(even got Gilgamesh twice) but never once did I ever get Xiza. Probably going to take my consolation prize of Meriluke and Gilgamesh if I do not get her after this next reroll
