I will definitely will be getting one of the 13" Detech coils for my MX5. Already using the 10" D2 now and was a pretty big difference from the stock coil in my soil. I still think the MX5 is a highly underrated machine. Thanks for sharing.

Good video Jeff . I have a 13" Detech (Ultimate) coil for my E-Trac that gives me about an inch more in depth than my stock 11'' . It is just enough to hit on those deeper coins that I had missed . But gives a different tone than the smaller coils that I had to get used to . Still a great piece of kit .
Great to hear from you friend and yes it truly is a good tool for any arsenal. I noticetd tones do come across as different and vdi's jump more but once we ease up and trust it it does a great job! Hi new to detcting here but from what I have gathered reading and watching videos is that you have to re adjust your detector setting to each change in coil type and size??

Great video. you answered a lot of questions I've had when yo did the air test. I'll be using my new 13" DD with my V3i. do you have any setting recommendations for me? Thank you in advance.
Thanks Tim, when I first set eyes on it I wasn't sure.... on initial start up the same. I have learned thay it runs clean with an occasional hitch... its sensitive. Lol! Keep her moving and it'll do its job. Once again thanks for stopping in. -Jeff
Hello, you actually gain a tad more depth with the target buried. I had the sensitivity set mid range and I do beleive coins laying in the soil for longer periods of time will bang out signals better.
I just purchased that same DETECH coil, videos I seen in the past before purchased showed 2-3" depth gain. I haven't had a chance yet to use it, grounds been frozen where I live since Christmas. Also, they were DETECT videos. Im already disappointed after watching your video. 189$ to gain 1 inch sucks.

How much less depth detection if those targets were buried? Still impressive with the air tests.
