I'm very much intrested in data science but I'm when I have discussed about this field( Data science and ML ) with my sinerors and collage prof. The common reply I hear from al......l "Don't wast your time in data science and ML concentrate on Data structures and compitative coding as a freshman no company will hire you in the field of data science even if they hire they will pay you less. So,better go with data structures and compitavi codding......! " As a student im confused between data science- ml and data structures - compitative coding Plz can you get me out of this confusion 😭😅 Thank you 😊
Right now focus only on competitive programming and data structures, start doing leetcode, with that if u have time spend it on projects from different different technologies , now is the time you can explore so make use of it.
Pls share in details ,how you switched from tcs to product based company , was it a referral ,and if it was a referral ,what were the steps you had to pass to get into the company . Were it like online coding challenge or a direct interview ..etc..
It wasn't referral, i got interview chance in Samsung through a contest on hackerearth.com i was working on NLP and time it was a rare and in demand skill to have, being good at it and i was able to crack 1st coding round, got offered. hope it helps :)
