Glass just like plastic is recyclable but there is one issue, and that is coloring of the container. Both plastic and glass come in colored containers. Granted sodas are more typically shipped in clear glass making it the best for recycling, there are containers of other colors that must be separated because the colorings won't burn away in the crushing and melting processes. Plastics are even worse which is why recycling plastic is generally like the faux buttons in this video, placebo. Just like glass, plastics have to be separated by color, and that becomes a considerable chore that only increases the cost of recycling. And since the return on the majority of recycling is minimal or nonexistent, it's just not as cost effective to do so anymore. Sad as it is.

Having been in the bread business for 37 years, I can tell you for a fact that your bread tab info is incorrect. Hasn't been that way for years. Most companies dropped the different color tabs when the pandemic started in 2019 & there was a plastic shortage. That said, they use whatever color they have on hand. The company I work for have one color all days. Best bet is to look on the bag for the date & go back 12-14 days & that will tell you the bake date
The traffic signals around me have buttons, but they won't stop traffic in intersections. We have timed traffic lights, but if you don't press the button, they will skip the green man. At regular crossings, the light will stay green until someone presses the button. I have also never seen any coloured bread tags, as we only ever use white tags here. We have labels with the dates on them instead, so none will lay there for over a week and have someone think it was just put out
Same about tags. I've only seen two colors of tags, white and yellow, but as far as I know, there's no difference between the breads. They also print out the bake date on a tag. And our bread doesn't really live for more than 5 days
We have an intersection right by my house where the light will stay green forever for cars crossing from one direction, and only change for the other direction of any cars actually show up. I can confirm though that the pedestrian button in that cross actually does something. You see for one direction of pedestrians the light will never turn green unless the button is pushed, even if the light turns green for the cars.
The loops embedded in the road to detect cars waiting for an advanced turn green light can be set up to detect a bicycle. Decades ago I had a light like that near my home but my 460 lb motorcycle wouldn't set it off. I ended up calling the city traffic control every time the signal didn't work and they reluctantly reset the sensitivity of the loop so it worked. It was a frustrating 6 weeks to get that fixed. Parking my bike in the turn lane and running to hit the cross walk button then running back to my bike wore thin fast!

The "power" button, is actually the standby symbol. On a switch, the 0 represents no power, and 1 represents power. If its a single button for power on/off, it's a 1 inside of a 0 (no break), indicating the button cycles from power off to power on. If the 1 is breaking the 0, it represents that you switch between power on and power mostly off, or standby, meaning there is still some power running through the device. For example, if you pressed the power button on your TV remote and it actually turned the power off, you wouldn't be able to turn it back on with your remote.

7:00 A 1.5 volt cell is not a battery but a single cell. A 3V; 4.5V; 6V; 9V; 12V is a battery made up of individual cells. The term battery comes from the military and describes the combination of several units.
Speed bumps are useless anyway. So what that you drive *a bit* slower? If I wanna run over a pedestrian, I'd still have time to accelerate while on the speed bump or after it.
Crosswalk buttons just provide more time to get across before the light changes. If you don’t push that button, you’ll find yourself running when the light changes and you’re only half way through.
With the cross buttons, NYC may be different and most may in fact be disabled, but what I've noticed in my area is pressing it doesn't seem to make the light change any faster, but it DOES extend the red for the road being crossed to be longer than it would be if the button wasn't pressed. In NYC, they are arguably pointless because if they did make the light change, like pointed out, it would exasperate already horrible traffic, and you figure probably 95% of the time, there are people waiting to cross nearly every street.
Seniors and people with disabilities may take longer to cross the road, so... perhaps, the reason. But most others are able to cross in much less time. And some better jurisdictions have changed laws to allow you to cross as long as you can within the countdown time, rather than forbid starting your crossing once the hand turns on.
In the U.K. it depends on the crossing if it’s pelican (men across the road) some in busy areas flash Amber and the green man flashes which makes the crossing act as a zebra (no lights) wile puffin (men same side of the road) they use sensors to detect if someone’s there, on the crossing, or absent before changing the signal if someone is on the crossing after the man goes red the lights will stay red till they cross, if a button is pressed and no one is detected the sensors will not sense anything and the button press is ignored, once the crossing is clear after the green man went red then the lights will turn green
What most people don't know is that a battery is not what you put in a flashlight but, cells instead. That AA that has 1.5 volts is not a battery but a cell, but when you combine 2 or more of them then it becomes a battery.
I love the way you weave the slick way of asking to like and subscribe in your repertoire. You have good content, so for me, it is an automatic like since I already subscribed a while back.
Here in FINLAND we have intelligent traffic lights. They have buttons which really work so cars don’t have to stop when there are no pedestrians. In the case the pedestrian cannot push the button, the lights change but you have to wait for some time. My Canadian uncle was thrilled because green lights were changed automatically when I was driving.
We have some now in my state of Massachusetts in the U.S. I appreciate them when occasionally driving home at 2:00 a. m- green lights all the way home.

ped crossing buttons exist to make the pedestrian wait. people are more likely to wait for the light and cross when its safe if theyve pressed the button and feel like theyve started the process. otherwise theyd be more impatient, cross w/ out the light and be more likely to get run over
The reason coke and almost all other brands have the plastic lining is because in the past they didn’t and as a result, people were being poisoned by the tin and lead (the lead came from the solder in the tin was sealed with).

If there's plastic in the cans, why do we have to separate the plastic from the aluminum when recycling?
In the UK we put cans and plastic in the same bin.
The tab in the can and lid is the only metal in the whole can.
Congratulations on 12 Million, Be Amazed! What a nice start to the new year!🎉
Yeah!
We have labels with the dates on them instead, so none will lay there for over a week and have someone think it was just put out
Bread in stores near me have freshness dates on the bags, tags are irrelevant.
Same about tags. I've only seen two colors of tags, white and yellow, but as far as I know, there's no difference between the breads. They also print out the bake date on a tag. And our bread doesn't really live for more than 5 days
Where I am in Aus we've gone to just brown cardboard bread tags.

@@AutoCrete Damn... sounds super inconvenient.
There was a side-street on the south side of Chicago, which would never change the signal, unless one ran out and pushed the cross button.

Another advantage to conical cups is that it looks like "only a little less" than a cylindrical one, but in fact their volume is only one *_third_* as much. So the employees will finish up faster and... _get back to work!_
I said "I had no idea" to all of these. I am truly amazed every day by the channel!
Not only do soft drink cans have more recycling... but plastic bottles, even when recycled, often actually aren't. One TH-camr who did recycling challenges was even surprised that they just shift that plastic recycling to the garbage, despite recycling yet not actually recyclable.
Plus plastic is only recyclable a few times before its chemical bonds break down. Metals are infinitely recyclable.
takes a lot of extra amounts energy to collect them as well
7:00 A 1.5 volt cell is not a battery but a single cell.
A 3V; 4.5V; 6V; 9V; 12V is a battery made up of individual cells.
The term battery comes from the military and describes the combination of several units.
15:44 This takes Road Rage to a whole other level!
Speed bumps are useless anyway. So what that you drive *a bit* slower? If I wanna run over a pedestrian, I'd still have time to accelerate while on the speed bump or after it.
Plus, once you clear it and realize it's fake I know a lot of people are just going to slam the gas anyways cause they're pissed off lol 😂
wow! how didn’t i realise that u have 12mil now?
been here since 900k and I’m so proud of how much you’ve grown :D

In California they turn the walk sign on, without a press, the walk sign does not come on so the sensors for cars can change the lights faster.
In the U.K. it depends on the crossing if it’s pelican (men across the road) some in busy areas flash Amber and the green man flashes which makes the crossing act as a zebra (no lights) wile puffin (men same side of the road) they use sensors to detect if someone’s there, on the crossing, or absent before changing the signal if someone is on the crossing after the man goes red the lights will stay red till they cross, if a button is pressed and no one is detected the sensors will not sense anything and the button press is ignored, once the crossing is clear after the green man went red then the lights will turn green
@@erichargrove2287that's been my experience as well.
My town's buttons have never really affected the lights. They just let you know when the light changes.
What most people don't know is that a battery is not what you put in a flashlight but, cells instead. That AA that has 1.5 volts is not a battery but a cell, but when you combine 2 or more of them then it becomes a battery.
Always with amazing content.

That’s actually how it is in the USA too.
Since the USB connector is universally mocked for being hard to determine which side is up, couldn’t they be cast with a ridge on one side or the other? Trying to see the tiny symbol is way insufficient.
Don't forget that the ADA is not a health organization but a business marketing group. Case in point the glob of toothpaste you see in ads is way more than the recommended amount and that toothpastes containing peroxide for whitening don't have a strong enough concentration to make a difference.
Most food safe cans have plastic liners, to prevent food tasting metallic. Been this way for years.
One thing I always wondered.... Why have BRAILLE on the bank drive-through? 😮
As an Uber driver, sometimes I have taken a blind customer to a bank drive-through. The Braille allows them to conduct their business themselves without needing me to get involved in any capacity other than as a driver, so they retain their privacy.
I read that ATMs are standard, and normally have Braille, since the same machines were used for walk-up ATMs.

The trafic light button is real (atleast in europe) you press it and in 5-60 seconds (depending on how much time has passed since last button press) the light turns green
Well In high traffic crosswalks they are usually timer set and there isn't a button to push while others have only sensors that sense when a pedestrian is nearby.
Hope you understand now
@@ghostali8351 ??? I can't understand anything

@@weatherwitchandfelinefamiliarsI'm aware of sensors... but where is there none... I can't think of a place.
@weatherwitchandfelinefamiliars Yeah I live in Sweden and we have different systems all around the city
For the crosswalk buttons... I know for a fact that the few here in town that we have actually work. The walking man and countdown will never appear unless you press the button. So, that might only be a US thing or big cities thing. Because of course it is.
All plastic tags on bread are white in Sweden, so we don't have that color system, but we do have date stamps on the plastic instead.
In Canada they are paper now
Same here in South Africa
As an elevator mechanic and very late to this video, you are mostly correct about the door close button. It is there for emergency personnel, but it also works for everyday use on certain controls. It can also be turned on or off on newer controls. Just push the floor you want, though. If anyone walks in after you push the floor button, it will reset a timer typically, so there is that, too. They aren't just a magic box that goes up and down

Re. Tennis courts and the sun, why do you think that players change ends regularly? It is to ensure that each player has the same disadvantage, including sunshine.
ped crossing buttons exist to make the pedestrian wait. people are more likely to wait for the light and cross when its safe if theyve pressed the button and feel like theyve started the process. otherwise theyd be more impatient, cross w/ out the light and be more likely to get run over
I've watched so many of these "Amazing..." videos, that now I am most trivially-well-informed idiot.
The reason coke and almost all other brands have the plastic lining is because in the past they didn’t and as a result, people were being poisoned by the tin and lead (the lead came from the solder in the tin was sealed with).
Now people are just being poisoned by the content in the can🤭
Glass is 100 percent recyclable though? You can literally recycle it over and over and over again without loss of integrity
however the amount of energy it takes to collect these recyclables isn't necessarily recyclable

I live here in London for 8 years now and ngl as I’ve realised everyone knows them they’re fake 🤣 for me personally it doesn’t really matter coz even when I’m on bike i just can pass between them, here’s very unlikely that they would make a full width of road, there are some but in higher percentage is the one u see like the fake ones that one on each side and one on the middle with little long humps

In Germany those buttons are reused for boind people, when pushed they make noises to tell the blind person when they can cross
They also include a tactile arrow and a vibration plate to indicate both _when_ it's safe/legal¹ to cross, and _in which direction_ the opposite end of the crossing is. 👍
(¹ - Unlike in most common law countries where the pedestrian signal is advisory, German pedestrian signals are obligatory - Meaning it's illegal to cross against a red man.)
