- Doña Rosa gives Julie a special energy cleansing (limpia) ritual and ASMR massage with hair cracking, whispering, and lots of ASMR triggers. Rosa gently whispers soft cleansing words and creates soothing sounds as she cleanses Julie with medicinal plants and gently massages her as she pulls, brushes, and plays with her hair. Rosa also gives her a traditional treatment to relieve headaches called "hair cracking" or "scalp popping" (in Spanish, "sacando los soles"). Cracking of the hair entails pulling out individual strands, which is believed to relieve headache due to sun exposure.
