March 13th, 2020 I was a freshman at my high school and I still remember alot of people were concerned that schools weren't closing. On that same day, I heard the news that schools will close for the next six weeks. At the start, I was happy but as the weeks past by, I grew miserable and became depressed. It turned out it wasn't six weeks but for the rest of the year.
My birthday is March 13 and we didn't hear about this till we went to the store and (we don't watch or look at the news that often) saw everyone buying tons of food. Of course we were out of town at the time.
I told my friends a year ago, before spring break, that I would see them after break. Covid happened, and I moved 500 miles away. I don't even have their contact info.
I remember the day before my school shut down. I was scheduled to play a rival school in two days and I was still sharing drinks with my friends. I can't imagine doing any of those things now.
I remember the day my principal told my school you guys would get a week off of school. Everyone was so excited. I was in 6th grade. Now I am in 7th grade and It's been a year since I've gone back to school. It's devastating. I mean me and my family haven't gone to a restaurant in over a year. Thats crazy. I hope everyone stays safe, wears a mask, and protects others. Thank you!

I recall around this time, I flew back home for spring break when this whole thing stirred up. On my first night home, it was announced that my school would be out for the rest of spring semester. We immediately cancelled my flight and I have been living at my hometown since. On the bright side, I was able to get a new job.
Me and my teacher had observed covid since January 2019. We could've prevented this back then. There was only 27 cases. But it didn't take long till it reached 1000 cases.
I remember vividly waking up so happily because it was my birthday and going to school and everything was normal, we had been discussing COVID-19 beforehand but it was very brief, I had plans to go to a hotel the next weekend and had 2 concerts booked (April 4th and August 16th) life was finally rising up until I got home and realized the news. I remember frantically DM'ing my best friend about it and seeing everything shut down the in span of a week was insane and it was never ending. Its like life had been put on a full stop and it was a roller coaster ride through the next months before things finally cleared up a little around may/june. I hope everyone is staying safe as the vaccines begin to rule out and that everybody keeps their masks on until its over

When schools closed down , I remembered the stores were jam packed parking lots were completely full! Basic essentials were difficult to find and limited to one per family- a dozen eggs for a family of 6 a packet of toilet paper for all of us !! I took my mom a bag of rice, beans and flour with a mask on and she was shocked! I didn’t visit her for months. It was a hard time.
I work at a supermarket and I remember going in at 9am and getting out at 3am the next day since people were panicking and getting prepared for a lockdown.
