Nightblade Hawk: If you ask me X8 was Capcom's way of apologizing for the GODAWFUL voice acting in X4, the painful armor system in X5 and X6, the rushed development of X6 and the shitty 2D-to-3D transition and EVEN MORE GODAWFUL voice acting in X7.
Rowan Sales Im not implying X4 and X5 were terrible, but I can't stop being bothered by Capcom's decision to make X sound like a whiny little girl in X4. Also, when you find a Dr. Light capsule in X1, X2, X3, X4, X7 and X8 don't you like the convinience of getting to use the parts you get from them right away, instead of having to find FOUR of them before you can charge your buster, dash in midair or whatever ability you get? Like I said, I'm not saying X4 and X5 are terrible, they just have serious flaws.
me and my friend used to be up all night playing this on the ps2, fun af and ill never forget how awesome this theme is from the adrenaline pumping guitar and the calm hope it gives to clutch out a fight in the 0:56 mark. i love this series and its music so much :>
I admit, I really slept on this boss theme for the longest time; it's only very recently (and especially thanks to the 16-bit demake) that I finally gained the proper appreciation for it.
Damn this rock styled soundtrack from X7 and X8 was so awsome, that this style sould be kept in future games, seriously, this is ROCKMAN francise after all XD
In my personal view, I think they made Axel to make a turning point within the Rockman X era. He still has many secrets unrevield such as the scar on his face, where he came from, or why he appears to be the first reploid with a copy ability. Plus in the ending of X8, it gives us an idea that something rather different is going to happen in the next X series.
X plays normally. Zero is a melee-style character... And Axel is a cross between Bass/Forte and a more affordable version of X since he never runs out of ammo. He's great for general stages or for bosses who are too hard to focus on energy conservation. I started off not liking him but I've grown a bit fond of his style. The whole shooting in mid air thing is great too.
Ok so when I was really young I thought that Gigavolt Man-O-War was some kind of spider that had 3 eyes and a moustache that also had a childish voice. Long story short I felt really stupid when I found out he was a jellyfish.
Actually I used Axl for most of the last fight. =/ Used him against Sigma until he started with the shield nonsense (then X), and used him against all of Lumine's first form, as well as a good deal of his second. Axl has lowish damage unless you use a weakness, then it's decent, but most of all his hovering, and his weapons' infinite ammo and often wide range of uses (piercing, rebounding off walls, etc) makes him good at attacking when you'd otherwise be occupied with dodging.
That's true, some do fall in line with release dates - but mainly only the early ones. It gets weird because Capcom did a lot of weird stuff with the timeline - I haven't played Star Force (but I understand that X and Zero are long gone?) and I don't really know anything about ZX (actually, that might be the one where X and Zero are gone...) so I really can't speak for those. This X8 boss theme, though, is awesome, isn't it?
@navrav2 Call it nostalgia goggles, but X1 had some really nice designs that seemed more practical. Mavericks became much more outlandish in appearance as the series went on. Not to say they weren't cool, but they look really impractical
You are wrong. Although the release dates of the games may be as you stated, the release dates do not dictate the in-game timeline. Maverick Hunter X, for the PSP, is a remake of X1. The Xtreme series, as KiddyBrucie stated, is between X1 and X3. (They are kind of like X1.5 and X2.5, if that makes sense.) The Zero series on GBA is far in the future.
They occurred after Mega Man X6 with Zero's ending which is canon. Never heard of the Zero Official Complete Works? Zero has sealed himself twice. Once in the ending of X6. He reawakens to participate in the Elf Wars and near its conclusion, he seals himself away again Yes, I know of that the Jakob Elevator incident is canon, but that doesn't quite change a thing

X8 had the best maverick design, The boss theme is really cool!
I fckin hated it

ultimatemaverickx I think x5 and x4 has the best maverick design
ultimatemaverickx Agreed. Except for Optic sunflower's and avalanche yeti's.
Yeti appears more how Snowmen are depicted in Japanese media. His nose gave it away.

Best boss theme of the X Saga
I actually really like Megaman X 8 and can say it's one of my favourite Megaman Games, especially after the lackluster X 7.

i agree even though your comment is 12 years old i agree x 3 and x 5 have some great boss themes too but this one is the best of them all
I love the part at 2:16 up until 2:35.
MMX8 had one of the best OSTs out there.
UFF UFF GOD, THE BEST BOSS BATTLE THEME.

Uhhh... X7 was not that rock as X8. I think you meant X3 (which was metal as fuck) and also most of X2 which really had rock based themes
@@theoneitself That electric tower in X7 had a rock music.
@navrav2 At first X6 is the best form me but then as time goes. I think X8 is a little better. That's just me, I find it more creative.
