nope you actually correct on Fuli being part of chinese inspire aeon, Fuli is the name of a supreme deity proposed by the Shenxiao sect of Taoism in the late Northern Song dynasty, and Path in hsr is a direct inspiration from the concept of Dao in Daoism/Taoism(path is also a common concept use in Xianxia and chinese fantasy genres, even part of chinese culture )
I wonder how will the Trailblazer get gazed upon by Yaoshi to get the Abundance path since Yaoshi's forces are set up to be one of the major antagonistic forces of the game

Imagine visiting a pacifist planet that follows Yaoshi because, instead of giving immortality to the people, THEY blessed the plant life to flourish and that ended hunger, lack and gave them powerful medicinal plants. ... And then you have to defend them from a Xianzhou ship, despite them not doing any harm, just for the sin of following Yaoshi

As seen in one of the Xianzhou sidequests with the Animal activists, they were worshippers of Yaoshi that were only arrested after they did some shenanigans in the sacred waters of the Vidyadharan Temple.
- I believe each path have a true meaning, a core of the path is not shown by their path name or just their simple surface. For abundance, i believe the path true nature and Yaoshi true pursuit is undead or the elimination of death itself. All healing and plant theme was all a byproduct of this true nature, that why Abundance emanator like Shuhu can't be kill as they are closer to abundance path only second to Yaoshi, meaning they are closer to not having the concept of death apply to them. That also show how blade version of immortality is so much stronger than xianzhou native in general coz Blade immortality is an abundance divinity he gain from Shuhu body remain - not a fact but i believe reason why people turn mara struck is likely due to incompatibility between their soul(the mind is tie into the soul) and body. And they can repeat the thing they did on Luofu, introducing stuff/char/lore from other ship while we on Zhuming as a set up for the next ship.
I can honestly see where Lan and the Xianzhou are coming from i mean with how the Denizens of Abundance ESPECIALLY with how the borisins act, its not really a surprise they wanna end yaoshi

All im gonna say is the abundance is probably better than the hunt because if creatures like Hoolay can not only evolve past his original ancestors but also bare the mara curse then i see the xianzhou as whiney children who fail to adapt to the blessing they dedicated their existence towards And as many state before once the abundance is gone the luofu is the next target To me the hunt are hippocrites that act like they dont have ties to the abundance but rather than adapt and changing what the abundance is they went to externination and expected good things from that
I think we're missing a few points here - xianzhou didn't adapt because they don't want to be something other than humans, sure they can side with abundance, seeking further blessing to perhaps evolve past mara, but that means becoming an faction of denizens of abundance that's opposed by the rest of the civilization/galaxy - Normal Borisins don't live long enough to see mara, Hoolay was a special case where he had a relic of a plague mark (something created from Yaoshi's direct blessing) that was only made by sacrificing Millions of Borisins and foxians (according to Hoolay about Duran), that's not feasible for everyone on the xianzhou - The Xianzhou has deep grudges against Yaoshi from their interactions with Their blessed factions, wing weavers invaded their home world (origin of the fleet), denizens of Abundance kept raiding their ship to take the plague mark, all those wars killed so many people, why would they want to become like their enemy? and that's just the xianzhou natives, foxians won't want to co-exist with the borisin because of their feud. - Back when the xianzhou first experienced mara, they did enjoy the long life, but further societal problem arose like the rich will always stay in power, and overpopulation meant common people staved, they lost one their ships to the chaos of an revolution so of course they are going to blame Yaoshi for not informing the consequences, even if logic doesn't make sense and it was purely emotional. We might see them as hypocrites now, but the exterminations and hate didn't come out of no where - Following on from the last point, when Lan's hunt was born as a necessary evil to counter balance Yaoshi's unregulated abundance, they xianzhou faced a choice to either stay out of the whole hunt vs abundance and seclude themselves (turning to preservation, it was the second popular path at the time) or vent their hatred/vengeance and hunt their enemies but accepting blessings from Lan, their ultimately chose to side with the hunt, but an aspect of hunt followers whether Xianzhou or galaxy rangers, is that you can't ever turn back, even if later on they wanted to adapt, the hunt path and Lan wouldn’t accept this, they are bound to goal of killing Yaoshi, i don't think they expected good somethings to happen from war but it's something they must do, if they want to keep their power and thus insuring survival in the galaxy ON THE OTHER HAND, i do see where you come from and it's really easy to missing key points and misinterpret the plot because they writer didn't explain the perspectives and morality well enough, partly because they might have thought less people will side/have an interest with the bad guys so included less nuance, spreading lore tidbits in readable in game. I'm also really interested in seeing an IF timeline where xianzhou became an abundance faction I will say that i'm willing to type this because i find it a really fascinating topic that has being brought so many times by so many people, i won't try to change your view if it's resolute, but reading a bit further into the lore can make all the difference, as that makes better discussions rather than misinformation(or lack of information).

It's hilarious that we haven't explored to whole Luofu yet because it's so big and there are like seven other ships similar to it's size. I think each of the ships represents a particular era or culture of Ancient China to Modern China
Hi I’m late to the party but recently I watch a play through of the Tsurumi island quest from GI and on day 4 when they are about to take Ruu to see the thunderbird there was a line about the God of fertility living in wheat and traveling with human. The path of abundance was originally called the fertility before being changed to the abundance. The Chinese name that they use for the abundance and their god of fertility mention in GI are the same character 丰饶. I’m not sure if I’m overthinking it but it can’t be a coincidence that they use the same character and change the abundance original name.
