Manny obviously has a good, very good friend in Jordon. Otherwise, he couldn't afford to have the tune up done with the care and caution but expertise that Jordon has applied. Super job, JR. I'm truly impressed.
He’s my only other friend on a Sportster, I don’t wanna be alone 🤣
Im sure your friend will be happy with the premium changes and performance. You're a great friend. Hope he appreciates your help.
Welcome to Jordans garage where you bring your old, running badly bike and he gives you a much better bike that looks similar but not exact. Great job Jordan.
You definitely have that magic touch. I truly enjoyed this series on Mannies bike! 👍🏽
Strange for just an 883 to require a 45 pilot. Even my Hammer 1275 with 1200 worked heads and all the fixins runs way rich with a 45 pilot. Either way good on you for helping a friend and glad you got it running better.

Good job, I'm very impressed with your ability to figure out problems.
What impressed me the most was you did not see the need to edit out your missed shift.
I am 73 years old have been riding off and on since 15 years old.
I have put well over a hundred thousand miles on my current Electra Glide. And still once in awhile I will miss a shift. I think it's my foot gets lazy😂😆😉
Be careful, ride safe.
😂 yeah, that clutch is the opposite of where mine grabs, very responsive, thanks!
Your adjustments made the difference between night and day. Especially the intake and idler jet.
Good work, Jordan. Manny has a solid pal in you.
that was a great little 3 part video, I learned a lot...and very real as most people buy used bike that are in similar condition!
Was wondering about the set up. Did he change it or did he buy it like that? And ,you may not be charismatic BUT you do good work! Coming up I had no I to learn from so it was all trial and error on my part with an '81 Sportster.
You're a good man, Jordan Ray. It looks like fun in the videos, but pulling the carb that many times, not to mention the manifold and the pipe issues... very thorough! He's got a good friend for sure.
Gotta keep my last remaining Sportster friend riding. 😂
@@JordanRay not everyone has old school taste. 😁 Would be nice to add to the stable eventually but I hope to keep the Sportster for a long time.
Great job! You might be hearing the difference in cam vs what you are used to. 😊
I was wondering if I was hearing more through that intake and leaning further over the motor. My bike still runs a factory intake.
Thanks again for being a kickass friend 🎉
Great video thank you very nice of you to fix a friend's bike. Cheers to ya.
Bar ends can help cut down vibrations
Good job jordan thanks for the video can't wait for the next one take care
Hey Jordan. Another great video. I’m in the same boat as you, working on bikes in the side but I work in mostly Metrics (Hondas, Kawasakis, etc). I have recently took on a 2003 superglide that is having the same fuel scavving issue as Mannys 883. I’ve adjusted the mix screws and can confirm 3 turns out is useless. I was thinking about changing the jets but wasn’t sure if that would fix anything. Now I can’t wait to go out and try it for myself. Thanks for the video. You have helped me learn more about the Harley side of motorcycling. You and Jess have fun in Florida!
I would definitely go through the extreme effort of making sure the carb is clean, no obstructions, then no leaks. I was told for my application for a stock 883 if I have to go bigger than a 45 pilot for idle there’s a problem.
@@JordanRay which would make sense. I also wonder now if the intake seals are bad. But he has an after market filter element inside a stick housing. Maybe I should go ip a size or two.
one thing I learned . . you need to remove jets and squirt some of that carbon-tet based carby clean through all the emulsion tube areas. It will remove crap u didn't know was there . .
Also Sportys are sensitive to timing at idle . . it isn't always set accurately.
Jordan, you never cease to impress me. You are a diy creative magician!
You may wish to check out a larger cam as well.
Seems to ride really good!
Cool looking bike
Great stuff Jordan..
Super chuffed to see what you do next on this bike..
Keep it brother..
Hey Jordan I notice you listen to Stick Figure! Great taste in music!
❤
Manny is a lucky man to know you. I can do half the stuff you've done... next fix his front end and loss the vibration.
We have agreed a lot of the vibrations are because, one, they’re drag bars, and two the riser bushings are solid. It’s something we will address in the future we’ve agreed. 👍🏻
Very nice. Thank you for sharing
Great video as always, I couldn't help but notice that when u play with the throttle, it takes a bit longer to return to idle, maybe a bit more fine tuning?
I agree, probably try to play with or diagnose in the spring. It’s below freezing here now 🥶
Good stuff Jordan.. I'm thinking a old school sporty chopper for your first build!!
great video series!
Your a whizz Jordan and a handy mate to have🍻👍🇦🇺
Yup 👌👍
It’s only illegal if you get caught!!! 🤓
😉
2 👍👍 up
you sure it's not a 883 with a 1200 kit
I confirmed with him, I did find out it’s running a Buell X1 trans- I think he said. So who knows what else!
