+Junior Oti its reall more of a weaker tone for hendrix when compared to the depth of little wing on that neck pickup, for wind cries mary i use the position between the neck and middle and set the amp and volume on guitar according. its really a more mellow sound, clean but a little crunch, and you want the treble to cut thelru the mids and bass without dominating everything else, this dude got it pretty perfect
Hey Greg, I'm a Blues/Hendrix Player from Fort Worth, Texas and I have been playing WCM for 50 years and I have to tell you that your Tone, Voicing, and feeling are the best I have ever heard. I started trying to figure that song out in 1967...You do a beautiful job with it. Rev. Muddy

This was the first Hendrix song I learned on guitar.... and my first step on a lifelong journey to uncover the mystery of how one could play the right notes, but sound weak and thin compared to Jimi.
You seem to have found the answer, as your tone AND the notes are amazing.
The rhythm under the solo is amazing but it’s covered with an amazing solo. It’s like both parts were written as one. Great job on the cover.

I'm a drummer for 40 years so playing Peart or Bonham isn't that big of a deal for me, but this...this is like magic to me. I love it.
i think its the chordal thing your picking up on. and the duplet shuffle feel on those chromatic walk-ups (passing tones) but he wasnt a technical guy or music theory guy, he just played what he felt and thats what we really hear.
The man himself would be proud. I'm sure he would be flattered.
I never get tired of hearing WCM. It's a very well put together song and don't forget the lyrics. Very poetic.
Spot on cover the tone and notesmith are perfect, and a note about Hendrix. Its easy to tell a great guitarist, their seemingly quiet easy solos are as compelling as their blazing hard rock riffs. Hendrix mastered all of it.
What really impressed me was the solo. Sounded spot on. Especially that one bluesy pentatonic riff that stands out. You captured exactly how he played it. Remarkable.

LOVE THIS!!!!! Your version shows the depth of Wind Cries Mary it can be as simple as you want it but you’ve also shown how you could complex it up with all of the fills and add ins. I’ve played guitar for years but recently dove into learning this Hendrix rhythm methodology and it has has really opened my eyes to the fretboard!
