Even now this is still one of my most favorite games EVER. I didnt even know what Resident Evil was until my dad saw this game was recently released and he wanted to introduce me to it. I was young and so horrified by some of the scenes and now I cant stop watching any of them, I even sometimes ignore the co-op requests to skip the cutscenes just cause no matter how many times I replay this I'm always in nostalgia mode 😂😂😂

I like the MGS4 DNA in this game. Some of it is a little on the nose, like Wesker being pretty identical to Liquid, hiss boss fight having the syringe injector mechanic like Vamp's, and this opening cinematic especially. But there were some stylistic elements of MGS4 I liked seeing used in RE5, like the shaky cam that moves through the scene like it's handled by a physical person.
Yeah, in the years of RE4 and 5, Capcom certainly had a bad case of penis envy when it came to MGS. RE4 had the radio conversations, a couple sections where you have to babysit a female character (MGS2), a couple of sections where you have to protect said character with a sniper rifle (MGS2), and a big guy with a gatling gun (MGS1). RE5 opens with a variation of the "War has changed" monologue from MGS4, then proceeds to throw in the guy with black shades from "Black Hawk Down" (that movie was a major inspiration for MGS4), a line about changing the balance of the World, the "get the bad guy an injection" mechanic, and a couple of other things I have forgotten about but I still remember feeling VERY MGS-y.

They even managed to make it feel less out of place in the series. Top-notch job. The RE3 remake was quite disappointing but it is not the dumpster fire most people make it up to be. RE2 remake is the perfect, modern RE game IMHO, at least when it comes to gameplay. It plays EXACTLY how I hoped RE4 was going to play like before it was officially shown for the first time (with the Castle trailer). I am really hoping they’ll do CODE: Veronica.

Not exactly, Resident Evil 4 was such a success for Capcom, there was no reason for them to stop making Resident evil an action game. Eventually it felt overkill when Resident Evil 6 came out, and the fans reacted.
Chris may have changed a lot physically. Hes still handsome and his eyes still has those determination and optimistic spark, even thoug Jill was gone for 3 years... He lost those eyes in "Resident evil 6". It's likely that whoever did the syncing is not a native English speaker and simply "studied" the mouth movements of common syllables. He just did it wrong.
