- Today I decided to make a tier list/tier maker of every version of Conor McGregor from his iconic 2016 run against Nate Diaz and Eddie Alvarez to more recent versions from his Khabib fight, Poirier beef and Cowboy fight. To be honest the 2018 McGregor is UNBELIEVABLY underrated. Not only was he at his trash talking and promoting peak but also he was an amazing fighter. People dont give him credit but his performance against khabib was honestly shockingly good and impressive. He did a great job of defending some takedowns, arguably was the first to win a round against khabib by taking round 3 and lasted FOUR rounds. That's more than poirier and gaethje who got mauled by khabib. His 2018 version is what made me and LOTS of other people fans of mma, in my opinion it's one of his greatest versions.
Trur not a bad performance when you see what other people did when thay fought with khabib
Fax personal favourite but didn’t necessarily have the magic of earlier versions, it was a lot uglier and darker and the drunkness didn’t help 😂😂 but I agree, underrated performance
It wasn't shockingly good and impressive preformance. Wtf are you on about? The fight was considered as a 50/50 fight before it happened. What was shocking about it? Yeah I expected him to defend some takedowns. Why wouldn't he? Did you think he was that bad? Mf cheated his way into the 4th round. Iaquinta went full 5. And? Poirier and Gaethje at least gave him some adversity.

I live about an hour away from McGregor’s hometown. His rise and peak just hit different for me. I’ll never feel that way about MMA again.
He peaked from 2015-2016 and just went downhill after Mayweather due to fame, money, inactivity, completing his life goals, etc.

I actually think the exact opposite about 2018 Conor , his promo work was too over the limit (entertaining but fucked up) , his performance was very good IMO , not for a Conor fight but for a Khabib Opponent , man took a round off Khabib and that was the third round after getting 10-8ed in the 2nd , people don't give him enough credit , his grappling looked its best and so did his cardio , I'm no fan of Conor (the Conor after the Mayweather fight) but you gotta give him his flowers otherwise you'd be more salty than MMA Guru after Merab 50-45ing Petr Yan.
Why would I give him any credit for cheating his way into the 4th round. He could've at least lost honorably.
@@karljonson3287 He did and he got away with it in such a shady manner with Herb Dean , but cheating aside he showed pretty good grappling defense and cardio , if you told me back in 2018 that Conor would take a round off of Khabib I'd think of the 1st , 3rd wouldn't come into my mind.
Also I think the word Honor doesn't exist in Conor's dictionary anymore.

@@karljonson3287 So wrong , the odds on that fight were actually close but Khabib was still the favorite , James Lynch's fighter prediction video proves it , the fight was no 50/50 my guy , it was a dominant performance from Khabib he showed that he studied film very well for this fight he showed a lot of fight iq and Conor showed heart and chin but when it came to skills Khabib eclipsed him.

one of my favourite mcgregors is the poirier 3 one from the suits the trim some of the lines he said and tbh his performance on the feet was good and was able to land some good shots from the bottom but i do know he did lose that 1st round 10-9 but it was competitive. do love a bit of 2020 mcgregor (good man is that python)

2020 mcgregor was such an underrated conor era. bro smashed cerrone in 40 seconds and basically created shoulder strikes. genuinely believe he could’ve gone onto be one of the top ranked welterweights if he was active back in 2020.
it’s such a shame covid happens because even mcgregor said he wanted to fight at least 3 times in 2020 but the ufc restricted him cos there wasn’t an audience and he’s the money maker.

I don't think the Khabib fight was the worst in cage McGregor, he won a round and looked good on the feet. Poirier 2 he looked worst, fought like a boxer, won round 1 but Poirier koed him pretty easy in rd 2. 3rd fight he didn't look too bad until he got taken down but still awful.

I'd put the Mayweather ERA in A tier. It was a spectacle we had never seen, and 2nd highest selling ppv in all of combat sports, behind Mayweather vs Manny. I think it was his peak star power. And my favorite Mcgregor line of all time was when Floyd told his guy "Show him what's in the bag" and McGregor immediately hit him with the "Dew wat ya towld bitch" and the guys face was priceless lmao.
