If RMC is still willing to build one if a Park has legit interest in one, I would say that Energylandia isn´t too unrealistic. Looking at their entire lineup, both in coasters and Flatrides, they are focused in offering something for the entire family, from the smallest child to people that are looking for the highest thrills. When they build Zadra, they also added 2 coasters suitable for children, when they added Abyssus, they also added a Family Boomerang, next are the Mine Train and another child friendly coaster, so the next one after that is the Tilt Coaster for the Thrill Audience. Realisticly, they are probably going for a Giga from either B&M (most likely) or Intamin, unless Vekoma feels comfortable enough to break the Giga Milestone for them. But overall, I wouldn´t put a a T-Rex with more than 400ft as too unrealistic for them.
It also helps that Energylandia is funded a lot by the Polish government, in order to bring more tourism to the country. They don't really have to worry as much about profits and costs as much as privately-owned parks do.

The only reason to build the T-Rex is to go big - like Giga big or bigger. Unfortunately the monetary and land-use cost of that kind of project is outside the budget of just about everybody (except Energylandia). I don't think it's necessary canceled though - just that the right confluence of events hasn't occurred to bring one to market. Some of those other models you mocked for not making it to market may also pop up eventually. The problem for the Intamin vertical LSM is that they're mostly working with Busch/Sea in NA and those parks already added Skyrocket IIs - which seem quite similar. And all those family coaster projects aren't necessarily a "step backwards" - parks care about filling out their lineups for the whole family. Enthusiasts also need to stop obsessing over the whole "the ride system is good for 500+ft" thing. I'm pretty sure any of the big players (Intamin, B&M, S&S/Vekoma) would be able to submit bids for a ride of that size if the land and the cash were readily available. We already see an Intamin project that scale proposed for Six Flags Qiddiya. Let's also be real here - a giga RMC would still be a dream and there's basically no way for the first one to be a disappointment from a hype perspective. The only project of that scale I can remember being a let down in the coaster community was Orion - and that's really only because of Fury. If Fury didn't exist no one would've moaned at Orion. I could see the 2nd or 3rd TRex project being a "let down" but so long as the first is the tallest/fastest RMC - I think folks will rightly lose their minds.
On top of that, even parks that could afford one aren't looking for that kind of ride anymore. The coaster wars as we knew them are over, because the average park guest today isn't looking for the biggest rides but rather the best experiences - not just with the rides themselves but in the queue experience and theming as well. The T-Rex is a coaster model that came a decade too late.
Once you get a coaster over 400 feet, it is going to be greatly affected by wind. A 500 foot coaster would be down a lot plus with the speed people would probably have to wear goggles. I'm actually surprised that Fury 325 hasn't had anyone sustain an eye injury from an insect at this point.

Gotta disagree on multiple opinions here: 1. The Raptors getting bigger negates the need for a T-Rex. So my hope that one is beeing build isnt that low.
4:23 I don't think energylandia would be concerned with building a second RMC considering the fact that they have 3 Vekoma Junior Coasters and 2 Vekoma Family Boomerangs
I don't agree with you here. Any regular big park could just get a normal RMC T Rex that isn't 500 feet tall and where a Raptor wouldn't make much sense due to capacity. The Raptor may have 12 car trains now but thereby, they still only can have 12 seats per train. That's not great for a big park. There are a lot of parks that could get an average (120-250 feet ish) RMC T Rex where it would make sense economically. I could see most Merlin or Walibi parks getting one. They have big parks and they don't go all out with new attractions. Also the bigger Six Flags would benefit from the higher capacity (New England, Great America, Discovery Kingdom e.g.) over a Raptor.
theres been a bunch of teasing of the trex on rmc's socials tho, that being the reddit q&a tease, multiple memes on their insta from soneone in a trex costume, i dont think its dead at all but the high price and a lot of parks already having something close to it does limit its buyer options idd
There was a really solid rumor on reddit at the height of the pandemic that Jersey Devil was actually a clone of SFMM Wonder Woman, which was designed years ago & supposed to be built first but was halted.
They’ve been teasing the T. rex on Twitter like crazy recently so it’s coming. No matter what anyone says. They are basically telling us at this point.
Another possible reason that parks won't justify getting a large scale t-rex is because how much space it would take up, because parks will get more of a return for the same land if instead of a 500ft trex they can put in a 100/200ft thrill coaster, new flats, possibly a new family coaster and restaurant. The only way I see a t-rex happening is if a park goes for a raptor sized ride, but with better capacity
Circuit of the Americas park might pull the trigger as they like the Engerylandia of America and i don't think they have an RMC yet. But it's still a pipe dream.
I think it’s just everyone is pinching pennies still. Covid hit the industry hard and it’s going to take more then a year two years to recover. Heck, the fact Carrowins is getting its backlot redone with 4 new flat rides is surprising. Going to miss the old southern star but she was the last of her model so it’s not surprising.
I think it's about money and return on investment from the park's perspective. Hybrids (especially conversions) and Raptors are cheap and generate a lot of hype. Just look at Iron Gwazi. Some enthusiasts are calling it the best in the world. A T-Rex would probably cost 5-10 times as much, and when the cheaper option almost automatically lands in people's top 25, the law of diminishing returns dictates what you go with. I think we'd be more likely to see a T-Rex in like UAE or somewhere where showing off opulent spending is an end in itself, and no one really cares about returns.
I mean having an RMC conversion doesn't preclude a park from getting a single rail. The first single rail to open came to a park with a conversion. Plus of the 5 Raptor coasters, all of them are clones
I really wanted the RMC t-Rex and I always kept my head up high and when u said in the video it was happening and I still kept my head up high and now I don’t think it’s coming. Love the content keep posting
I think it comes down to 2 factors- 1) cost of materials/cost to finance. This means parks will pay significantly more to build a T-REx and to finance it will be significantly higher due to interest rates. 2) Many parks are still recovering from the 2020 shut down, and this has delayed ride purchase/replacement programs. I heard rumors that Silverwood saved RMC when they bought Stunt Pilot, simply because other parks cancelled/delayed projects. The other rumor being when Silverwood bought Stunt Pilot is that this raptor was meant for a different park that cancelled and Silverwood bought it to keep the RMC staff employed.
I think the trouble with the "500 ft capability" headline is everyone wants the first one to be the massive record-breaker. But on the "where are the gigas?" question, is T-Rex capable of doing what a world-class giga does for millions of dollars less? Like could you build Fury 326 for $15M?
BGW would not do a TREX. We don't have the capacity except maybe 6 days out of the year. Plus, single railers are SHIT when it rains 85% of the time spontaneously. Plus, we don't need to compete with I305. Never had. DarKoaster was in the works LONG before Pantheon EVER was announced. When DarKastle shutdown, they announced a year later that they were gonna put in a new, similarly themed, indoor coaster.
Fiesta Texas at San Antonio will purchace a TRex. We already have the first Raptor, the Wonder Woman. But we need a new Trek Coaster like the Superman over here. It would have to be DC themed so I saw we call it like the Darkseid Antilife Equation coaster or something cool like that.
For some reason people think that Universal Orlando could get and RMC T-Rex because of RMC replying to Universal’s Tweet of finding a T-Rex. I would love to have this coaster, but I just don’t think it would happen.
Honestly The park I see getting a T-Rex is Cotaland in Austin, TX. They want 3 more coasters, and they aren't afraid to take risk (I mean look at the last two coasters they've anounced), and they have the space and money for another show stopper like the 500 foot
Bgt and bgw usually get the same coasters one after another like montu and alpengeist and sheikra and griffon so now that bgt has an rmc I think we could see an rmc at bgw and bgt might get an intamin multi launch or a smaller coaster like the indoor one
Yeah, no. Alpengeist was somehow a flop, while Montu has one of the best invert layouts, and probably would be the best if Carowinds didn't try and steal the cool from BGT with Afterburn. The two are basically the same, just removing the second loop from Afterburn's layout. An RMC at BGW is possible, yes, as new plans have shown it's possible. I don't think BGT would get an Intamin Multi-Launch considering they already have a good family Intamin, that being Cheetah Hunt, and it's the most popular coaster at the park, barely being beaten out by Cobra's Curse. Supposedly, Sand Serpent is getting a warehouse-like shell to make it an indoor coaster in 2023 or 2024, so the possibility of a DarKoaster at BGT is already filled in with Sand Serpent.
Bro Magic Mountain is my home park,I’m Excited to see how you react (if you haven’t visited which you probably have cuz I’m late to the vid,go on weekday)
I don't think that if the T-rex is ever built that they will start above 400 feet. When announced it was listed as starting at 150 feet and it was that interview with Peter from Theme Park Crazy when they made the 400 to 500 foot comment. It seemed more like an aspirational side comment than an official announcement from the company. I wouldn't be surprised if they built one as a hypercoaster and then the big parks waited to see the reliability and response from crowds before building a large scale version. I don't think the general public would be disappointed if a regional park bought a 250 foot T-rex hypercoaster and that began the trend. I could definitely see Kings Island being a park to get a large scale T-rex after several years if smaller parks built smaller versions first. And if the T-rex turned out to be reliable and a more cost effective way to build a giga then I wouldn't be surprised if Magic Mountain got one down the road, regardless of how redundant it might seem. Six Flags has done far more egregious things when it comes to unnecessary additions. As for the 400 to 500 foot range, I could imagine Cedar Point, Energylandia and maybe a park in the UAE building one in that range if the model proved to be a hit at other parks. But I really doubt that kind of height would be typical for the T-rex.
My thoughts abt where this could go if it does is (hear me out) universal Orlando. Ok to elaborate lemme say, universal has the budget, the land (with epic universe) and they’re going towards more thrill centered coasters so I could def see a couple years after epic universe is built we get a trex there but that’s just my thoughts.
I think the pandemic killed the hype for the T-Rex. All parks were forced to scramble, down size, close, etc........I'd estimate that when they relesase the T-Rex that it will cost around 35Million. I think they are just waiting at this point for someone that can afford them and for that brand to be big
Epic Universe is about the only park I can think of that can realistically build one of these right now. Universal has the money and the space now so it's the ideal candidate in my eyes. Question is what would the theme be and who would be the target audience?
Off topic, why is everyone still hating on Jersey Devil?? While that one clip in the video showed it going slow(with an EMPTY TRAIN keep in mind), it still has sped up ever since opening. So I don't get why everyone is hating on it despite having 1 slow ride in its earlier years.
In my opinion it just doesn't make sense to have track like that, the rappers are small and can do tight moves and stuff but the trex is basically normal track that uses a lot more material and is more expensive, at that point rmc might as well make a normal pipe rail coaster
SF is out of the question cause they do not spend 30M on coasters, they purchase max15M coasters & actually cheaper than that since bankruptcy. RMC Raptors were designed to go up to 200ft according to RMC for custom models, their issue is that the clone models have too low capacity except for low attendance parks, yet parks do not want to spend 30-40M for a Trex. RMC is developing a middle tier coaster, that has 2 acrosss seating to have higher capacity like Trex, while not as expensive, yet larger than Raptors.
BGT saw its last riders on Sand Serpent today. Rumors of the kids rides being moved/revamped as well to make room for something big. Is something like this in their budget? 👀
I really doubt that anyone would want to build a 500 ft coaster. Cedar Point saw diminishing returns chasing the height record. There are plenty of roller coaster fans who find 300 feet terrifying, let alone 400/500 ft. A huge ride takes a ton of space and wouldn't see crowds the way chains hope it would. We will hopefully see a T-Rex at some point, but I think it will be a shorter affair. That being said, if Top Thrill 2 can't be remedied, I could see Cedar Point putting a record breaking T-Rex in it's place.
Crazy that no one talks about the park that owns the biggest brand around dinosaurs. Don't fall for the capacity remarks. Intamin built Hagrid's and Velocicoaster. RMC can make a capacity ride for Universal.
My home park is six flags great adventure and the 50th anniversary is 2024 and we are supposed to get something big but now knowing it’s not likely the T. rex will ever be released is bad for six flags and us but I doubt they would’ve gotten one anyway plus everybody wants a giga but well six flags is poor so I’m not sure what they are going to do tbh at that point they should just give us a vekoma tilt coaster and we just get a complete retrack for el toro by zublin(original company contracted to make the track for el toro) and huge park improvements
One place I could see a T-rex going is where cedar creek mine co. is in cedar point. The old mine ride isn't the best, it really dosen't have any historical purpose except for the story line of the western part of town in cedar point. Blue streak is the oldest in the park, and in my opion it is a better ride and still looks and feels good. Two things could go in this new space. Record breaking gci or a t-rex. We have been prommised a rollercoaster that is going to be biggeer and better than stev way before the top thrill incedent. And I know that top thrill is going to be revamped, but I don't see it as a full on new coaster that fufills the better than stev statment. I think thta after top thrill is done with and finaaly open, we will see news on something coming to cedar point, hopefully a t-rex but I could see a recourd breaking gci.
If a T-Rex is built the first one won’t be 500 ft. That is a recipe for disaster on at this point an unproven model. They will probably build up to it cause there will be mistakes Steel Vengence’s lift hill is the clear example that RMC had to learn how to go over 200 ft hence the new steel trust lift hills on Iron Gwazi, Arieforce One, and Wildcat’s Revenge. Something similar will likely happen with the t-Rex so the first will be in the 200-300 ft range is my guess, which is still significantly taller than the rapter. But we’ll see.
3:30 I really don't think this part is valid, The majority of guest parks what to appeal to is families because they bring in all the money. DarKoaster seems to be a really good investment and will bring much more families to the park. But I kind of get the motor bike coaster.
Having a raptor doesn't mean a park can't get a T-Rex, more then one park has a BM hyper and BM giga. There are plenty of ways to doesn't one from the other, just like with those BM models which favor different elements and don't have the same feel. I also think it's wild to assume the first TRex would have to be 500 feet. They said that to get the hype train rolling but I'd expect them to start much smaller to get their feet wet
I've ridden one raptor, Wonder Woman at SFMM. The year it came out. And sorry to say, it was bouncy and rough. Don't know if it was my train or my seat, but was probably the toughest ride of the day and it was brand new! Anyone else have this problem? Maybe the raptors sold well but people think a T Rex won't hold up for a long time?
It was super smooth the trips I have made to SFFT. Railblazer opening year had a pothole at the bottom of the drop but from what I hear, that is gone now.
The B&M gigas are so stale at this point, we have so many of them. You’ve ridden one or two, you’ve ridden most others already without even knowing it. I hope it’s just a case of premature marketing hype, and that RMC is hard at work on development making it more economical.
probably nobody wants one yet. The B&M dive coaster didn't take off right away. the first one went in at Alton Towers and then nobody bought one for a really long time. now they're everywhere
I have no clues but i think that the firts t rex(if it built) would be in portaventura because they literally dont do anything since they added red force an dshambala in lees that three years thats the only reason😊
There haven't been any because parks aren't building huge coasters any more. The T-Rex isn't anything special. There's a number of manufacturers who would take on a 500ft full layout coaster but there aren't any parks actually willing to put the money down to build it.
Great Adventure is my home park and in 2022 the 4 times I went... it was dead No lines Half filled trains in the middle of the day dead So I don't think Great Adventure can financially justify any new major ride right now

He mentioned that already, he explained about how the six flags parks didn't have the space for it.
Circuit of the Americas park might pull the trigger as they like the Engerylandia of America and i don't think they have an RMC yet. But it's still a pipe dream.
They've started teasing it like crazy on social media recently, I think it's coming sooner than we think
Congrats on 50k 🎉
I think it’s just everyone is pinching pennies still. Covid hit the industry hard and it’s going to take more then a year two years to recover. Heck, the fact Carrowins is getting its backlot redone with 4 new flat rides is surprising. Going to miss the old southern star but she was the last of her model so it’s not surprising.
Watch this be the year T-Rex's go mainstream.
I think we'd be more likely to see a T-Rex in like UAE or somewhere where showing off opulent spending is an end in itself, and no one really cares about returns.
they have been teasing the T-Rex on there Instagram story now if its just a teas to get us hyped for no reason well it could be that too
Just a little video idea I think would be cool is a top ten, five, or twenty five bucket list coasters.
1 week later:
“My apology to Rmc t-Rex”
Damn dude, you are so close to 50k, keep it up!
Cedar point getting a trex in 4 months:
W
That would be funny
There's more chance Cedar Fair would change their name into Valley Point rather than that
Amazing video love your channel, what would you think of a single rail but with motorbike seats
Bruh, where are you getting this ridiculous RMC/Cedar Fair drama from?
I think their is a chance they put one at BGW where they have permits for 220 ish feet of maybe kings dominion but that’s me being hopeful
500' just isn't necessary, especially for a park that small.
good ur finally going magic mountain my home park
What about the teasers they recently did on like Instagram

Hey Coastoons, I’m going to SFMM in mid January, is that when you’re going?
Have you seen RMC's social media lately?
His opinions always make me mad but I can’t stop watching him!!
Funny that I watched the video you made 2 years ago just a few hours ago, and suddenly you upload a follow-up.
Plot twist. B and M build a winged stand up surf train that is less than 100ft tall and launched in RMC t rex track with wooden supports.
In a tweet they said in caps RMC GIGA COMING SOON
1:54 Six Flags is the one chain that would put both Raptors and T-Rexes in the same park.
Imagine they start posting updates an hour after this video
fyi, a lot of the rides have been down at mm. Goliath, riddlers revenge, Superman, and x2 all are on their offseason / maintenance period.
Off topic, why is everyone still hating on Jersey Devil?? While that one clip in the video showed it going slow(with an EMPTY TRAIN keep in mind), it still has sped up ever since opening. So I don't get why everyone is hating on it despite having 1 slow ride in its earlier years.
Looking forward to your videos on Magic Mountain
I don’t know if you follow RMC on Instagram, but they have been teasing the crap out of the Trex for a while now
magic mountain built 2 dueling coasters with a very similar everything. anything is possible
The FujiQ motorcycle coaster is actually super good tho 🥲🥲
What happened to the Axis coaster?
Nice video but u did not mentioned the agressive trolling by RMC on social medias, like the video of a guy running into IAAPA in a T-Rex costume.
The T-Rex is basically RMC’s hyper and giga coaster at the same time
your clips of JDC are so slow its hilarious
I feel like the pandemic slowed it down and they are working the kinks out with raptor. I hope it will still be coming eventually.
A 225 ft t-Rex is probably less expensive than a B&M, especially if they repurpose supports.
Really nice how he never ever even thinks of talking about europe
Hopefully we will eventually see one
Also, the whole 500 feet thing means next to nothing outside of the US since that is not the unit of measurement in most countries.
3:30
I really don't think this part is valid, The majority of guest parks what to appeal to is families because they bring in all the money. DarKoaster seems to be a really good investment and will bring much more families to the park. But I kind of get the motor bike coaster.
We might see one of these after falcons flight opens if someone is coming for the record
What if Mr beast opened up an amusement park 🤔
Having a raptor doesn't mean a park can't get a T-Rex, more then one park has a BM hyper and BM giga. There are plenty of ways to doesn't one from the other, just like with those BM models which favor different elements and don't have the same feel. I also think it's wild to assume the first TRex would have to be 500 feet. They said that to get the hype train rolling but I'd expect them to start much smaller to get their feet wet
Id say the first t rex isnt what we will expect. Alton towers project horizon with an indoor RMC t rex.
@@gametime2473 it must be my car and seat cause I was jittering and bouncing
bruh they keep on teasing on twitter every day
Pretty simple answer- it’s a thing, but parks are poor and won’t risk a $15m+ coaster that mite have the same problems as the raptors, just huge.
The B&M gigas are so stale at this point, we have so many of them. You’ve ridden one or two, you’ve ridden most others already without even knowing it. I hope it’s just a case of premature marketing hype, and that RMC is hard at work on development making it more economical.
The 500ft coaster will appear when Hell freezes over.
Well, that was depressing. But true.
I want to see this ride model get built!
To expensive, to scary in terms of innovation maybe ? When you think about it, it was cocky to build Time Traveller, New Texas Giant, Pantheon etc...
probably nobody wants one yet.
I think we’ll see a 300ft tall version of Aire Force One before a 300ft tall TRex.
Maybe they'll turn Dragster into the first T-Rex
There haven't been any because parks aren't building huge coasters any more. The T-Rex isn't anything special. There's a number of manufacturers who would take on a 500ft full layout coaster but there aren't any parks actually willing to put the money down to build it.
Great Adventure is my home park and in 2022 the 4 times I went... it was dead
No lines
Half filled trains in the middle of the day dead
So I don't think Great Adventure can financially justify any new major ride right now
