Excellent stuff, overall - I wish there were more drivers who understood this stuff. The only slight wrinkle is the bit about the green light, entering the roundabout. This does, indeed, give you priority, but you must still check for anybody approaching from the right, as people quite often jump red lights. Green gives priority, but it does not mean that it's safe to proceed

I don't understand when or whether you indicate on a multilane roundabout. do you signal left on exit? do you signal right on approach? no signals because its traffic light controlled? any information would be much appreciated
At 4:30 in the video just before the traffic lights the sign clearly says both lanes can be used for M271. I'm just curious why the examiner would advise to use the right lane when left lane is always easier to exit on and is the normal lane for driving? This just confuses me even more. 😕
The sign you saw at 4:30 just before the traffic lights is not saying you can use left lane to go right on the roundabout. M271 is a Dual Carriageway and the carriageway goes LEFT and also RIGHT. The sign is saying if you take the first exit on the left that will take you to M271, and if you take right 3rd exit that’s will also take you to M271, but the opposite way. Hope this makes it clear to you.
I always have a doubt. If the round boat that controls the traffic light stops to take seconds in the middle line. If that middle line goes straight to the second exit, do we need to signal. After two days, I have a test.Plz help me sir😢

Hi Roy It’s because you’re counting the 2nd exit as two exits. The two small lines on 2nd exit is know as one exit. It’s two lines because it’s dual carriageway. When you have two short lines next to each other or one long and a short line next to each other that’s count as one exit. Hope this helps!

M271. Third exit! But the left lane was for that too. So you should have stayed in the left lane. Then you wouldn’t have needed to change lanes to the left! So you would have got a minor fault strictly speaking. The road marking are worn though.
On hind sight, I think we could hv stayed out in the left lane all the way till this sign, I think it is not too close that we cannot change lanes here. It is possible. Other wise what made you to change lanes to the right? There were no signs, no clues, what 6th sense? Normal new drivers will not know this ‘6th sense’ & so the most natural positioning is to continue on left lane & change when we come to this traffic & sinage. I see no other way here (other than the 6th sense inclination. To go in the right lane from a certain distance-sadly not everyone has this sense right?). Hope you agree with me? Also, the red car (L plate) in front of you does the exact same thing… continues on the left lane all the way till the traffic lights & then blinks right & changes lane for right turn!! My point illustrated!
