I’m an American born and raised in New York. I was told since I was little child (school and home) that Albania and Albanian people are our friends and family we must always respect and support them. I have childhood friends that went to war in 1998/99 my very close friend was an Apache helicopter pilot. Since then we as Americans have a duty to protect our Albanian brothers and sisters from all kinds of threats and violence.

In this area in ancient time was a kingdom called Dardania which existed since at leat 6 century b.c
This kingdom multiple time defeated Macedonia (The same Macedonia who destroyed Persian empire) . Dardania was attacked in 166 b.c but managed to defeat Romans . It is unknown when it was conquered but in 98 b.c it appear to have regained independence kicking Romans out of their lands . After 160 years wars Romans finally subdued Dardania in the year 23 b.c . As for Serbia serbs conquered Kosovo for the first time in 1205 and lost it in 1389 so is kinda funny serbs claim Kosovo which they invade . Kosovo is not a new state but a very old European country 2000 years before any serbian state was formed .
