They just never let him sing is his actual key. His actor said he normally sings in the mid not high range.

Apparently it was written in because lea Michelle either was pregnant or thought she was, with Corey’s baby. Supposedly, them loosing the baby or finding out she wasn’t pregnant was a contributing factor in Cory relapsing

I'm not sure Marley is an alto actually. She has a husky sort of voice for sure, but that's her timbre not pitch (look up tessitura). I'd peg her as a mezzo if not outright soprano

Yeah I read a lot of comments about them doing Marley dirty, but like what about Mercedes. Literally had the most powerful voice on the show, yet the majority of the songs went to Lea.

When she did Im not going/your gonna love me i think it was season 1 (i kinda just rember Finn and Rachel together but it def wasnt season 3) Her dream girls preformance has to be my favorite mercedes singing moment. And the fact that she was actually singing live and not with a backing track like they usually did , it just makes that song all the more beautiful.

7:31 Although seasons 1-3 Glee club brought so much talent (from mostly Rachel and Mercedes), the seasons 4-5 Glee Club seem like they actually had much more fun doing group performances which made me like watching theirs more

I also noticed that on my recent rewatch. The group performances were more carefree, less "choir", more like a group of friends jamming
“Love Song” really had some of the best harmonies I’ve ever seen on a show. Whoever arranged that deserves an award.
My favorite glee moment to ever exist is Marley’s “La la la da da dat da da” in Blow me One Last kiss. It’s addicting

Adam Lambert has a crazy voice. It’s all mix and he was born with it so it’s naturally really strong and pretty rare. When he was in musicals the high tenor parts were easy for him so he optioned up a lot.
It's really sad that they often didn't show Melissa's full potential.... I really wish they had let her sing in Supergirl more than once.... It would be amazing to hear her voice there
we got two silly karaoke nights, one song for a wedding & one musical episode but i would LOVE to hear her sing more. she is just insanely talented and can do it all.

This was the first glee thing I’ve seen on TH-cam in months and i was like why did i stop re watching the show and then i f*king remembered it was becasue of Naya riveras death and i just broke down. God she meant so much to me and so many other people.

I honestly think all the characters that showed up at the end of the show (season 4 students and Elliot) are way better characters than the earlier originals. Just cause they feel way more like actual people instead of just archetypes. I mean I love kurt but he’s really just the stereotype of a gay man and that’s sort of how all the original characters are
But isn’t that kinda the point?? Glee is a musical satire, so it makes sense for the characters to be stereotypical and dramatic. The big personalities of the og characters is what makes the show. The newer characters were fine, but in a show like glee just because it’s more realistic it doesn’t make it better for the show. Since glee itself in its concept is quite unrealistic, the characters should also feel that way. The newer characters were also pretty stereotypical too( the bad boy womanizer, the shy girl with lots of talent, the mean blonde cheerleader etc) they definitely evolved into more but so did the og’s.
Kurt is in many ways more than a stereotype...
disbanding new directions during the middle of s5 and written off all the s4 newbies were the worst thing the writers did. it literally hurt the show, imo the shoe even went downhill after that (s6 newbies saved it but we don't get enough of them 😭) PLUSSS, neglecting other members like MATT, sugar, lauren, rory and joe 💔💀

Glee season 1-3: a plot with something to tell, good performances
Glee season 4-6: great performances, inconsistent plot forced to insert certain songs
So did 1 to 3, but it was not as often as later season

I love the appreciation for Melissa in the beginning I think her voice is so underrated in glee especially since she is so often compared to Lea and people just don’t get that their voices are different.
