Not possible,nice try.THe aluminium can comes with polymer(plastic) layer on both sides .This isolates the from any contact.The sun or any strong light is not present .It's not connected in series. any voltages produced is in the microvolts.The battery is in the motor. THe con tact has been switched by sensors.in this case bjt

How the hell?
Even if its fake, the cell isn't connected electrically. The only one that would short the circuit falls off at the end, but the motor runs with it facing down.

There is no way on God's green earth that a motor that freaking slow has an enclosure that big unless there's a battery inside. Just a word of advice, ANYONE who knows at least the basics of electronics and watches this video, immediately can tell you this doesn't work just by watching the intro. I know this and I'm just a 14 yr old boy that messes around with electronics a lot.
Joshua Landreth good eye your completely correct. if you notice at the bottom of the "cell" the strips bridge the connections from positive to negative and he is using that as a manual switch for a watch battery hidden in the bottom of the motor, keep tinkering it can lead you down a road of both money and happiness, good luck

@Hussein K. M. Don't know, don't care... The only thing that is important is that, the people who are watching this should know it's fake, because "The Rules" of Physics doesn't work on his model. Another thing to mention is that, if you are testing absolutely anything, especially for prototypes, its best to use smaller motors/ components, so even if it breaks (its still cheap) OR the voltage/ current is too low, it would always work. The larger the components, the easier to hide batteries.
I love the way it works both sides up. You could sell that bullshit to owners of real cells to make electricity at night.

Take a old power transistor, cut the top off carefully and connect a voltmeter to the terminals with some light shining on the exposed part of the transistor...you will get a real voltage from it...I'll have to submit a photo..

En el minuto 3:33 se le volteó la "célula" y no le dio luz y miren nomás que el motor siguió rotando, que ¡¡ mentira tan más grande !!.
Para que el Aluminio pueda generar "electricidad" se le tienen que modificar algunas propiedades físicas y químicas para que pueda actuar como una especie de batería solar. Si así fuese tan "simple" producir electricidad con simples tiras de metal aluminio como esas de las latas de refresco (según el video), las células solares de Silicio serían "obsoletas e ineficientes y por demás demasiado caras" .
De hecho las células solares de Silicio están constituidas de Silicio policristslino y dopada o contaminadas con materiales del tipo Semiconductor con el propósito de "alterar su estructura cristalográfica a nivel atómico. Existen diferentes mecanismos químicos y físicos para lograr estos avances, así como para ser aplicados también a" ciertos metales" y hacerlos con características parecidas a los de los semiconductores, no tan eficientes y competitivos pero sí cercanos al mismo propósito: "crear electricidad a partir de la radiación solar". Saludos desde México a 13 marzo de 2022.
