Hubby built a compost toilet with basin etc last summer, which went down well with the younger family members who camped
in our orchard. We promised them a shower this summer. So thank you so much for this video.
We don’t have power in the orchard yet so we will be using a camping gas califont and small water tank.
We really want a spa, some days it would be a luxury to soak the aches away.
We have been 31/2 years in, off grid living and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Setting up is like eating an Elephant, its do able as long as one does it bite at a time.

I'm hanging out to see your next video! I'm looking at buying a 5500m² section on a farm so watching your journey is inspiring me.

Love it! Living of grid sounds wonderful if you can do it! Is a roof next? Have you thought of a portable space heater for the winter time? I'm assuming you're in New Zealand judging by the accent and NZ in your channel name. What a beautiful place to be outdoors!

Thanks. No I’m leaving the shower end open, It’s quite nice having a hot shower in the rain. We might get 5 degrees below zero at the coldest which I still find comfortable so no need for any heating other than the hot water.

Hey, looks good! How many watts do the water pump and Rheem use together?

Thanks. To be honest I have no idea, but put it this way, not enough for me to notice a drop on the power app.

its only a very small step away from a typical shower at a motor camp.

wont you get a bit cold in the winter? or easy enough to deal with?

    • @LivinglandNZ

No not at all, I have been using a portable gas shower outside all winter. I like cold frosty mornings as well so it's never a problem.

The plumber must have been about my height lol but for the big unit that he is you would have to say yes. Still NOT BAD for a dodgy lefty. Any hot running water is good hot running water.

@@TimBoss2000 I'm not the only one using it so didn't want midgets to get soaked if they didnt want to hahaha. Yeah not to shabby for a special needs person (left handed)

It's just to distress/age the wood, nothing more than getting the look I wanted.
