  • Watch step by step how I made a really nice backyard shower enclosure. Perfect for showering off after the beach or pool. It has hot and cold water, a full privacy fence, and a lockable gate!

    Scott You have outdone yourself!
    And have amazing
    skills with your
    hands 💯
I on the other hand don’t have your talent .
So I bought me a solar shower ,
It built under my unused carport
And I’m still creating more privacy with
Tropical plants and a bunch of other
Camouflage because of my Nosy neighbors 😂

Concrete/mortared base for outdoor shower seems to be an overkill. Could put some nice stepping stones and river rock in between them and it would do the trick with much less work and possibility to disassemble it later if you need to do maintenance on piping. i dont know where you are but if winter is cold those can burst...etc. It does look beautiful though, no question here :)

    • @DIYSCOTT

If you have to go under a side walk again it makes it a lot easier if you use a pressure washer.

      That is a good idea!

    • @rehoboth_farm
      @rehoboth_farm ปีที่แล้ว

@@DIYSCOTT Yeah. Just use a pipe like you did but if you use a pressure washer is will cut a hole the size of the pipe without using nearly as much water. A lot of times plumbers, electricians and sprinkler installers do this to avoid having to cut sidewalks.

You didn’t need schluter outdoors on a concrete slab. It’s only for wood subfloors indoors.

  • @dougl945

      IPE Siding: ~$2,000
      Block: ~$60
      Concrete Slab: ~ $150
      Plumbing and Shower: ~$200
A pretty rough estimate of somewhere between $2500 and $3000 in materials. Definetly depends on where you buy it too. IPE is one of the most expensive types of wood available in my area

Gotta love when the average person trys to be a stome mason. You're stone and sand is backwards. The sand goes against the soil, your stone goes on top of that, then rebar, then concentrate, like u said, u didn't know what u we're getting into. But you wouldn't have needed those wood pieces, if done peoperly. Ur concrete will eventually break apart. U didn't seal it either. Smh. Ugh. I hope people don't follow ur instructions. Tell me is ur concentrate busting up yet?
