My son had 87 Bayou 220 years ago and it did the same thing. It does have a spring. Two of them actually. His had broken i replaced both and didn't have any issues after that. At least until he dropped and bent the intake valve. Lol. But I'm sure your daughter won't abuse this engine like he did his. They are a great little engine. Tough as nails. Love the buggy. Keep up the wonderful videos! Much Love guys.

You did a good job. I had a Honda Odyssey back when. Cooling was a known issue on them and will be on your machine once the weather warms up. Consider adding an oil cooler mounted up high to catch cool air as you ride. I love creativity!

This is a build I've been waiting to see. Good work. Looking forward to seeing the finished product. Been looking for a good auto clutch shifter cart build, so i could get some ideas for a cart for my teenagers, and this nailed it. I was thinking about using a honda ATC rear end because of how reliable honda is and the pull starter backup. Really interested to see how the widened axles play out.

'm a newbie to your shows. I love the content and the great camera work. I did notice one thing that gets to me. Why don't you clean the motors before working on them? It prevents more dirt from getting in and helps find broken castings and missing bolts. You have a super clean shop, far nicer than mine and I'm now a subscriber.

Just a PSA, when using sealant on small engines, and atv engines and such. Use Super Grey RTV, Yamabond, or Hondabond. These do not break down from gasoline or oils.

About how tall are you? And approximate weight? I got my daughter a Monster Moto Kart and Bike for her birthday and I’m looking to get a kart that for me so we can go riding together. I’m 6’2’ and weigh about 300 lbs (lol). I know I can’t fit on her kart so finding one that I can fit into and won’t have problems hauling my fat butt around would be awesome. If the battery drops below 10.5 volts, the CDI WILL NOT FUNCTION, thus, no spark.
if you have a volt meter, you can do a load test with the battery in the bike. just place your leads on the respective terminals, set your meter to the appropriate range VDC and monitor the voltage as you crank. If it drops too low, recharge it, maintain it, or replace it. The easiest way is to replace it though in my experience. If you replace it and still nothing it may be the ignition box. Have you checked the plugs and fuses?

Turned out looking good but you could have cleaned off the old grease and leaves off first back in the beginning as it seems that the old grease and leaves are still on it that all should have been cleaned to start with

It will get cleaned when the engine is off for paint. Its not hurting anything setting on there.
