- In this video I’m on a solo mission with my dog to catch some fish off the rocks on my softbait rod while the burly is in the water just don the coast attracting fish for the evening strayline session.

How long is your softbait rod? Casting off the rocks, what length would you recommend?
Thats an 8ft soft bait rod, that’s what I would recommend. I’m using the Daiwa TD slugger 6-12kg
The wife and I haven't been catching much lately but to be honest it's just awesome to be out there in the fresh air and not stuck in the house thinking about doing it cheer mate still a good video

I'm enjoying the way you are getting that 'b roll' of scenes as you're walking etc. It takes a lot of effort, I'm sure, when you'd rather be fishing - but it really adds to the vids (Aussie fisho/spearo Chris Bamman is the master of that technique). Dog cam could be next!! Haha. Again, I'm impressed by your ability to read the water and fish shallow spots most land-based guys would walk straight past. Not every vid needs to have a thumbnail of a big snap to get us watching. Good work.
Thanks mate, yea it’s tough taking my time and getting those clips because I’m usually fizzing to go fishing haha but it needs to be done. Oh nice I’ll have to have a look at his vids.
