I have friends who purposely turn their music down during this fight. Literally defeats the whole point of this fight being an epic showdown with one of the four Ashen lords. Tbh… the fight is weak af.
Not gonna lie, but this is probably the best version of it, especially as the Ashen Lord actually has some cool mechanics, that make you feel like you're in danger constantly, and this music just hypes that danger up even more
So i have a fun tale to share Once when fighting red ruth. Me and my mate got to the final stage so i got cocky with my sword and got vibe checked by a seismeic slam... When my mate came to revive me red ruth got close and did another seismeic slam killing me as soon as i got revived And from that day on everytime i die right after getting revived i call it getting Red Ruthed.
No way this exact same thing happened to me lmao. Me and my friends were fighting an ashen lord when I died to a rock, so one revived me then we both died to his flame breath. So ANOTHER friend had to revive us then I died again because he did a slam and set me on fire. It’s a joke in my friends called the Dutch Oven
Alright, go back to your boat, drop your sails, then let it sail away into the wind while you tuck on the island. Bring firebombs for good measure. Wait until they bring the chest of rage on board, sneak onto their ship, and take the chest of rage to either the captain's quarters or one of the bottom decks. Set off the chest, and get as much fire on their ship as you can. Fire spreads fast on a galleon. In the confusion, try to drop at least one of their sails to either crash their ship into the island or get them in angle of one of the island's cannons. Use the island cannons to put holes in their ship and maybe break one of their masts. Try to keep the enemy crew occupied as long as possible to keep the fires going and keep them from being able to repair.
I’m new to SoT and my first ashen boss was Red Ruth. I had no idea what the fuck was going on until I searched it up on TH-cam. And looking at the lore, it’s crazy how such evil can strip the flesh off of your bones, for some, it robs them of their kindness and dignity. For the ashen lords, it helps them spread their rage and anger and bloodthirstiness.
@@frostii2672 its actually just the intro to the game, I think it is supposed to have like meaning to it like "you are a true pirate, and you are a legend on the sea!" But if you don't like it you could always just harass the ashen lord or Flameheart with "happy birthday" that always seems to piss them off for me
Probably the best track in the game. The first few seconds signifying the Ashen Lord's rage, and then the music adding in the main melody and instruments to show that you are winning the battle. It's just *chef's kiss*

I personally believe having specific leitmotifs for different characters and situations but stylized to match the scenario is a one of the better ways to write music for a game or movie. On the Warpath is pretty much the shits_about_to_go_down.mp3 of SOT and I like that. That Spanish style on the warpath is so groovy!
This has been on my mind from the whole event actually, Flameheart has been "buried" on Flintlock Peninsula, on devil's roar, including where Old Horatio sailed to the shroud and hide the Ashen Dragon fleet. He sails to the shroud from Flintlock according to Captain Adara's Journal, but both Flameheart's ghost fleet and The Ashen Lords never appeared on Devil's Roar since i think that "Ashen Lords" came from Devil's Roar. Not to mention that the Ashen Dragon captain's cutlass is the same cutlass u got from Forsaken Shores event, this made me think that both Flameheart and The Ashen Lords came from Devil's roar, but they never appeared anywhere on that whole region. And that's just put a big question mark on my head
@@itsalmagest Yeah it can get quite confusing, we only see Flameheart in the devils roar in Tall Tales... as for the Ashen Lords I’m pretty sure that the idea is “they’ve already conquered the devils roar”...
