Flame Heart is the obvious villain of the Sea of Thieves, but his faction is so good, that most players just gravitate toward him. Crazy.

The Blessing of Athena’s Fortune is more of a gathering of people who see you as friends and will have your back.
However, the Ritual of the Flame is just you removing your flesh and sacrificing yourself to a cause you believe benefits you, sacrificing yourself to your king.
And I love that.

@Rst If you win a battle against an Athena ship, it’s about an average of 2 levels of allegiance. There is a more peaceful approach which is getting loot while devoted to the flame however that does mean there is the risk of Athena ships Hunting you. Remember you also get a small amount of allegiance if you lose a battle (usually around a quarter to half a level).
I’d say Allegiance 100 could be done in a few weeks of casual playing.
Flameheart be makin a lot more Skeleton Lords to add to his fleet

Even though this Ritual looks evil I’m still convinced that Flameheart is actually the good guy or at least the better ruler. He wants to keep the seas to the Pirates and keep the freedom of piracy. I have a lot more to say about it but I don’t want to make a navel about it, point is that I’m feeling a twist coming up with the Pirate Lord and Flameheart.
Kinda like Skyrim, where in the beginning Solitude is considered the bad guys but at the same time they are the best option to pick because they have the leadership and actually ability to have a chance to fight back against the Altmer.
Can we also discuss the fact that the pirate lord literally locked up all the loot of the SoT in chests so he could control the entire economy and sold the SoT out to trading companies and was only stopped when Rathbone literally plucked them of before releasing him to what could have been his death?
@@theinsidioushat7543 Ramsey did that so everyone would stop destroying each other day in and day out. A “fair game” rather than the strong rule. Also Rathbone isn’t a goodie either, given that he started one of the trading companies you hate so much

However Ramsey fundamentally changed the SoT as he saw fit and the execution of that gave him power, He specifically gave himself the only set of keys, that just sounds like a power grab. Not saying flamehearts perfect but Ramsey is no better, just a better marketing agent.

@@daultonwells625 Flameheart at least doesn't hide it. Flameheart allows his followers to do as they wish. Ramsey fundamentally also seeks control over the seas except he restricts his followers and hides his ambitions.
You can we play the ritual of The flame just make sure it take off the skeleton curse first it's not a one-time experience.

When you reach Reaper level 75 + servant of the flame 100, you get a shanty for the door. But is that a shanty that can be played elsewhere?
No, it can only be played on the lift. Just how the Athena one can only be played in the tavern.

I think it’s more like the Reapers represent a possible ideal for some pirates who are cynical about the way things are and want change, but the deeper you go in their ranks you see them for what they are and lose yourself to their malice and power. They aren’t openly revealed skeletons until you’ve reached their Lair

Honestly, I'm a little disappointed, grinding for the Servants of the Flame is way harder than fighting for the Guardians of Fortune bc you need to be level 75 with the Reapers Bones + being level 100 with the Servants, I would've liked for Flameheart to be at least physically present and not just a shadow of him.
You need to be lvl 50 with the three Factions AND 100 GoF for the ghost curse, what’s your point?
@@dawipeach8948 Just that aesthetically-wise the cutscene when you receive the skeleton curse is a little lacking compared to the cutscene when one gets the Blessing of Athena's Fortune, I would've liked to see Flameheart physically present.

@@MadeUpNoun makes also a theory for what if pendragon won, reapers were prepared and made his coffin into a communication device so flameheart can lead with the voice and servant of the flame from his banishment spot and eventually give the reapers the information to save him.
But now pendragon is the one that is banished, and unlike the reapers, athena cannot make contact

The PvP on-demand (and the rewards that go with it) is a new tool added to the game, like the Pirate's Life ghosts and crawlers from last year - it's not going away any time soon (if ever)
why the fuck would they delete all the new content after the season ends? I dont understand why you think they are going to delete 2 curses, 2 factions and the arena 2.0 feature when the season ends, you might be thinking of another game
