Things a minipainter can get away with saying - "I did take a peek at the loincloths the beastmen were wearing" xD Thanks for these videos. I don't really have crafty friends so listening and watching while I'm painting has been a very relaxing and less isolating experience.
Nice beastmen/gnolls! And The Secret of NIMH gets a shout out too! Great episode- and the missing footage isn't missing, you just challenge your audience to fill in the blanks.
Accidently deleting footage... I feel your pain. Just be glad you did not have to chase down a client and ask them to redo all the work that they did and explain how it happened. I loved what you were able to accomplish with what you had. Those figures remind me so much of what I would call a trolloc from the Wheel of Time series would look like. Yeah I said that before. I am not the best figure painter that is for damn sure. But I do love the results that you get. Your self depreciating work up on your figures is always funny. I know that you know your pretty good at it. Even when you have to get things done fast. Here in Wisconsin we do get heatwaves. The best part is I have a nice basement and central air in my house, plus cold drinks. So game day can be comfortable. Happy gaming!
lol - yes I have had to ask a client to reshoot one time due to a cf card malfunction, that’s a little bit more palatable than manual deletion 🤣 Glad u dig the figs, self-depreciation is just part of my personality I guess but I also hope people can see how anyone can try this stuff! Cheers to cold beers 🤙🍻
Lol well my game table would look awesome to you then! I apologize it’s pretty crappy to be losing eyesight, but theater of the mind is an awesome place for storytelling 🤙🍻
I find myself falling down the rabbit hole when I go looking for figures on line. So I can feel your pain. Other than that you are still kicking ass and it all looks great.😊
Very cool! I managed to recover around half of my photos which I accidentally deleted directly off my camera with the free version of ccleaner one time… Thought I’d let you know 🤔🌞
Nice job! I too, have come to the conclusion that I don't like the standard black/white Zenithal. I prime with Vallejo German Panzer Grey, then a mid grey for my mid-tome, then white. Black is horrible when it comes to painting with transparent paints (not speed/contrast). I'm actually trying to change my zenithal colors even more, wanting to use something like Payne's grey for the base/prime, then some warmer colors for mid-tone and highlights. Just haven't played around with it yet.
Oof that’s warm lol. I tell myself every year “it’s only gonna be this hot for a week” and usually it is here so I never pull the trigger on the portable lol. 🍻
We do make excuses. I bought every miniature I thought looked cool during the 9 years I worked in a game story because "I'm going to use these in an RPG." I never used miniatures in my games. Worse, in the late 90s, a friend ran All Flesh Must Be Eaten (great zombie RPG from before the zombie movie glut of the early 2000s), and he used some awesome action figures to represent our PCs and the zombies. It was great. So that opened to door for me to start picking up action figures because "I'm going to use these in an RPG." It proved equally as true, and now there are boxes of both miniatures and action figures stored at a parent's house, half a country away, that I'm never going to use.
Lol this sounds like part of a confessional documentary about tabletop gamers, I can see it now, each of us back lit so viewers can’t see our faces as we detail the methods of our own descent into madness … 😂 🏴☠️🍻
They came out good. I like to base coat with a dark to mid brown spray and then slap a dark wash all over before zenithal to make a good shadow base and the brown helps colours to pop and gives a warmth to the overall look.
Number 1, You're an arse (not an insult, used as a term of endearment in the UK when you make a mistake). Number 2, you're painting to play not for competition so good enough is good enough but we also have a sense of pride so if you you think the horns aren't right, the revisit them, although you have other things to get ready. I'm having the same issue with the spikes on my Malstrain Genestealers from Hive Secundus, they don't look quite right but they look OK and I have Carnevale figures to paint. Keep being random.
You talking about the greasy black hair made me think of this gem… “The salons of chaos are always busy”-Sam Lenz.
Yes! Sam rocks lol 🏴☠️🍻

They look the business for an alleged painting at speed! Nice work.
Thanks! 🍻
I have to say, these fiscal responsibility videos are really not half bad 😉
And the minis turn out pretty cool too 😁
🤣 soon I’ll be selling “financial well being” courses - dreams come true 😂🍻
Cool. Painting via theatre of the mind. As a mostly blind guy - welcome to my world. Haha.
Lol well my game table would look awesome to you then! I apologize it’s pretty crappy to be losing eyesight, but theater of the mind is an awesome place for storytelling 🤙🍻
I'm new to your channel but really enjoyed your video. Thanks. Liked and subscribed :-)
Well thanks, much appreciated 🤙 I cover lots of different topics so I hope you find other vids you dig😎🍻
I like 'em! They turned out well.
Thanks! 🍻
im surprised you dont have that many subs! you're brilliant!
Well thanks! My content is pretty varied, so that’s not great for the algorithm (or lots of viewers lol). 🍻
Nah. The purchasing logic holds up (to our goblin brains).
😂🤙🍻

Awesome, thanks lol🤙🍻
All makes perfect sense to me … I’m painting ghosts… so many figures for a game I’ve not even played yet
Well that makes sense to me too, rock on lol! 🍻
Very cool! I managed to recover around half of my photos which I accidentally deleted directly off my camera with the free version of ccleaner one time… Thought I’d let you know 🤔🌞
Ah thanks, yes I tried a paid one we have and it only found two of the twenty clips 😑 ah well, these are zen training lessons lol

Yep! I’ve tried out some various colors for undercoat zenithals and it’s pretty fun give it a shot. 🤙🍻
Lmao, 85 degree is what we frequently have with AC. Drop 200 bucks on a portable and it'll be 60 on those days.
Oof that’s warm lol. I tell myself every year “it’s only gonna be this hot for a week” and usually it is here so I never pull the trigger on the portable lol. 🍻
Stay Cool!
Always tryin’ 😎🍻

That’s a good tip I will try that at some point 🤙🍻

Thank you and thank you, much obliged lol. Carnevale! I’ve wanted to pick up some of those minis for quite a while, good luck with those🤙🍻
