I have the exact same one. I have had it for over a year. I use it when needed (a few days at a time) and it still runs like a champ and does what it is supposed to do.
thank you so much for this video, i purchased the coospider internal uv filter for 10-40 gallon tanks because im having problems with algae in my 20 gallon tank i hope this solves my problem.
So the see through air tube do I keep that above the water? Like, outside in the air , and its supposed to suck fresh air into the pump right? I've had it under the water level as the instructions are so bad
Yes I believe it should be above water and do what you think. I agree, I actually didn't know what it was for until after I made this video. I've just ran mine fully underwater without the tube but I don't get the additional air bubbles.
4 days in, still no results. Checked, light works, everything works. Update: 2 water changes and 3 weeks later, it is clear! Took a while but it was really bad and I have 100 gallon tank
Your delayed in success probably comes from the fact that this filter is rated for 40-90 gallons. Your tank is a gallon, and I take these measurements on the box with a grain of salt and err towards the smaller end.
I notice that the unit has conventional sponge filters included. Are these adequate to filter particles and fish excrement etc. by themselves or do you need an additional conventional filter to cope with them?
J ai acheter 2 sur amazone et l eau rentre dans le tube qui protège la lumière 🥴 ça arrive souvent ? J croie pas que j fais quelque chose de pas ok 🤷🏼♀️
Mine has still been working with no issue. I used it for about 6-9 months straight on a goldfish tank without any issues. I moved some fish and equipment around in the last few months and am not currently using it but it lasted for over 6 months straight without issues and is ready if I need to set it up again at any point.
Hi buddy, hope you are well. I just ordered myself a jup23. How is your holding up? It has been a year since you posted this reply. Also does the uv bulb have a quartz tube that needs to be cleaned? Usually uv sterilizers have a quartz tube surrounding the bulb
When I ran it on my 65g I kept it running about 8 hours a day due to suggestions online. Now I have it in my Goldfish tank running 24 hours. I have not had any issue with melting yet. Although my goldfish tank is at a lower temperature (70-72 F) so that would likely help with the melting. Although I did not experience that ever yet.

I'm glad to hear it is holding up. Did you ever have to replace the bulbs yet? Or has it lasted for the whole year only running it occasionally?
@@TheAquaticCoder Havent had to change the bulb yet. Only use it until everything clears up and then put it away again.
@@nick92028 how much hours do you keep it on a day and is your UV sterilizer still good right now or is it broken
@@nikeeval2488 I use it 24 hours a day for a day or two to fix whatever is wrong then put it away again. Still good
The! superreally incredible footage!😲
Thank you!
The cords are short. I do add fine nylon mesh to the top of my cannister to help scrub the water. Mine has held up for over a year.

Did it work?
@PeaceDayCortez yes it worked amazing the algae problem is 100% solved! The coospider uv filter is a amazing product :)
My UV light isn’t on and the oxygen flow seems to be week even when I adjust It I can’t see any bubbles but I can feel it
There could be water on the tube that goes outside your tank. I attached mine to an aerator to make sure no water gets trapped inside the tube
Can you make a video of how to change the light bulb ? I tried to but I am afraid I will break it. I don’t know if I’m doing it right
Water got in my bulb and shorted it out! Poor seal around the bulb from the factory. How are you supposed to change the bulb?

Do u use just this filter with uv or use another one together?
Just got one of these my uv indicator isn’t lighting up

For anyone wondering you could add cotton or fine filter to top of cannisters to to a water scrub.
The bulb is already pre installed, right? Mine has been running 24 hours and I don’t see the slightest change in the water yet
You have to remove the protective film

Does it use a lot of electricity?
Hi I just ordered one from Amazon.. I was wondering if your UV sterilizer is still working or is it already broken or not working

How often does one need to replace the filter cartridges, and uv bulb? Thanks!
Uv bulb last aproximately 8000 hours
ebay you can get it for 29.95
I just bought one can you leave it in there with fish all the time
Yes you can if the fish are not too small. Small fish like neon tetras could potentially fit into the filter slots
thank you so much. @@TheAquaticCoder
Did you had to rinse it with water first? I noticed some oil residue in mine (i just got mine)
I didn't rinse mine and had no problems. I also didn't see any residue. It can't hurt to rinse it
Do you keep it on 24hrs or only a couple of hours per day? I hear that it melts the metal, how do you deal with that or have you deal with it?

@@TheAquaticCoder what would melt?
What can melt?
What happeng if is whather in the life bolw
So cables are also submerged?
Yes the cable going into the filter is submerged.
Take it apart and put it back together again
First of all you dont have enough plants
I can’t understand a word he’s saying. If you make a video. Please speak clearly. Sorry I couldn’t understand.
I don't have that problem..
Heard it just fine
