Oh I can’t event believe how beautiful this is. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong part of the world, as nothing makes my heart skip a beat like an old English cottage surrounded by wild and beautiful gardens. Thank you for sharing such beauty and inspiration. 🤍
So interesting to grow upon an existing garden foundation where perhaps generations of gardeners have left positive energy as well as plant surprises behind. I Can't imagine better inheritors to carry forth the activities. Best luck.
I was happy to hear that the ducks get out to play. I could see how much they wanted out when you were by their pen, and I thought that would be sad if they could never get out. Your garden is magic.
Mona I love, love, love your garden. I especially enjoy gardens where nature is just tipping over the balance of too neatly controlled to something that welcomes wildlife and pollinators.
You have a very beautiful garden. I am working on my little 133-year-old farm property to turn parts of it into beautiful gardens and friendly habitats for pollinators and beneficial insects.
Really glad to hear your ducks get a chance to be out of the pen in the day, couldn’t bare the thought of them being stuck in 24/7 without stretching their legs and having something different to do 👍What a beautiful garden you have, you’ve done yourself proud in such a relatively short time! X 💖👍
I have turned into an old lady now but, if I were younger, you might have persuaded me to get busy in my back yard! LOL I am more a houseplant kind of person, but you made a great video here....I really enjoyed it....and I subscribed.
This is my dream garden. I have tried growing a lot of English plants, but it is just too hot here. But I am refusing to give up my roses. Some summers I might lose a rose bush or two. but I just can't live without them.
Regarding your leggy lavender....go ahead and reshape by cutting back INTO the woody part creating a nice mounted shape. I was taught for years never to cut into the woody part, but actually YES YOU CAN! I do it and plants do amazing!! I cut mine back in early Spring and within 3 months you'll have tons of regrowth and blooms. If the plant looks horrible now, even at this late date, go ahead and prune...you've got nothing to loose.
Thank you for sharing this! I have tons of lavender but one of them has gotten so woody because the previous owner didn't cut it back like I always do. I was always told never to cut into the wood, so I was avoiding that.. But will definitely try it!
We just discovered your video today, your gardens are beautiful. The way we love to garden. Will definitely look forward to all your videos. Thank you. North Carolina Birds Way.
I love the 'No Mow May' practice - it creates more insects for my Swifts when they arrive in the spring, as the Swifts need all the help they can get. I would love to be able to say my ducks trample the Alliums a little bit, lol - love the ducks. The poly tunnel talk is very interesting and the wild life area with the pond and compost bins is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for showing us your amazing gorgeous garden.
Your garden is a dream!! I love the flowers on the steps and the plants growing against the wall. Your colour palette is so beautiful! I adore the wildness of the last part! It's almost like you're in a forest. Your knowledge is incredible! As someone who doesn't know much of planting can I ask where you learned things? I would love to learn more but I don't know where to start.
You are such a lucky young woman! You have done such an amazing job in enhancing what has been there for centuries, without modernizing it. I just love the poetic romance of it all. BTW, I have read that you should never plant tomatoes where they have been before. Pick a new spot, or pot them.
Liked this video because of the beautfiul garden. Wouldve liked it again if I could because of new things I learned today. You have a beautiful place to live!
My favorite video here, getting an idea of your overall space and setup. It would be wonderful having the various greenhouses and opportunities they bring. Those ducks are darling🌿 TY for showing us around
Thank you so much my dear friend for such a great garden tour today and giving us so much great information about the fruits and the flowers in your cottage garden hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and Debbie love the video
I've just come upon your videos and am having such a wonderful time! Thank you, thank you for sharing your home - your cottage and your gardens. I'm looking forward to the journey through all your videos. You give me hope for my own home.🥰 BTW, your coffee table looks just like mine. Mine was a kitchen table I found in an old farmhouse. I called the fellow who owned the house, asked if I could buy the table from him, brought it home, cut the legs down and, Voila! My cottage coffee table!
Your garden is lovely! You are so fortunate to have the greenhouses and outbuildings. I especially love the wildness of your garden. Just wonderful, thanks for sharing!
um...did I hear that right at the 15:00 mark? Your neighbours smashed your windows? Lovely garden- thank you for sharing- blessings from Ontario Canada
I wish I could have a rock wall like that and moss grows. It’s too sunny and it gets really hot and humid during the summer time where I live in the US. We once lived in the state of Washington where it rains a lot and I could see myself creating something like your garden. But not in our new home 😔
Really lovely tour 💚 I've only ever seen you on Instagram and this explanation of your growing space helps paint a broader picture! Looking forward to the next video :)
what did you mean by the neighbour broke the glass of the greenhouse? Is he/she very hostile or just a accident? I love your garden , specialy the stone walls and buildings. Its like a fairytail. Love from Belgium
Just like a dream. It is So beautiful and dreamy. I really wanna have something like this for me when I grow up more. Thanks for sparking my imagination even more. :)
I could be wrong, but I think you should prioritize putting that water feature back in so that, among other things, you can attract more insect-eating wildlife (e.g, frogs and birds). That could in turn cut back on disease in your garden, which is really lovely.
My complete dream of a garden. I was in love right at the beginning with your rock wall garden. So amazing and am definitely following you now. I truly wish I lived in the UK for the lovely climate, gardens, culture and history. I cannot wait to watch more of your videos.
Wow, wow, wow. Amazing. It's so big and so beautiful. Thank you for sharing. It's lovely to see and I look forward to seeing the changes as they happen. Keep up the great work.
You are just so knowledgeable about gardening, it's really informative to listen to you speak. It makes me realize how there is so much about lots of different things that I don't know and would like to learn. Thanks!
Just found your channel and I love how you live! Reminds me of how I grew up! Everything is so soothing, country and quaint...I love it! Thank you so much! Watching from the US. ❤🤗🌺
I think this garden is just absolutely beautiful and i loved some of the inspiration! although i think that a nice montage of shots of the garden and just the birds in the background and the ducks etc...without the explaining and talking would be nice at the end, just an idea!!
This is the first time I’ve seen this lovely garden. Love your style of cottage flower beds and colours I like as well. Must say love your dress as well did you sew it yourself? Will subscribe. Blessings from New Zealand.
What a beautiful garden you have! For that greenhouse with the agaves, I am thinking hot tub, you can sit in it in the winter and enjoy your winter garden too.
There is a metalic tape you can place around borders to keep slugs out, also placing broken glass shards(or other spikey materials) underneath or aroundd pots/area will also prevent them from entering.
re: the potatoes around the 22 minute mark; my brother once planted potatoes and had no luck with them for about a year, and then the next season he harvested LOADS in a complete surprise and had a surplus lol. i don't know much about gardening but i love watching your videos about it, your passion for the plants makes it really engaging and accessible to watch and hopefully when i have a garden of my own i can look back and take some inspiration of what grows successfully in our climate :')
So glad I discovered your channel!!! I love your garden, and your lovely outfit. I’m so looking forward to watching more videos and seeing your garden grow! I’m a gardener from Kentucky, USA , and it’s been so nice to meet you! 👩🌾💗
Check out Living Traditions Homestead videos. They built what they call a "chicken moat" for their chickens and ducks. You could do something like this, on a smaller scale, along one side of your garden so the ducks can roam more (I see several viewers were worried about the ducks being penned up). Love your garden! We had the privilege of living in England for 3 years and all the wonderful gardens were my favorite part. I loved how we could buy bouquets of flowers for 50 pence from the open markets or alongside the road next to people's gardens. It was a wonderful experience! Thanks for sharing your lovely garden with us.
Some how your garden tour is different from other garden tours and I loooove it. Your garden is sooo interesting full of nooks and crannies. You kept my attention. Looking forward to more videos. Felicity Jacobs, Cape Town, South Africa

U r Right 💯
I live in south Alabama. That hasn't stopped me from creating an English walled garden
U can create a beautiful garden any where. My grandmama had a gorgeous one. It took her years to cultivate.
what a sweet thought you have.
Me too
Finally someone who's obsessed with erigeron like me! I love overgrown gardens too

They love a rummage through the garden. Sadly the fox likes to eat them too so we have to be very careful. Thanks so much 😊
🐝 Thanks for the great video 🌻

Thank you. That sounds amazing!
The flowers also have their own beauty although they are in the old garden.

OH, I JUST LOVE THE PLANTS IN THE ROCK WALL!
I have a large garden too, but struggle with gardening very much. You really inspire me to not loose my courage over the massiv amount of work.
I have turned into an old lady now but, if I were younger, you might have persuaded me to get busy in my back yard! LOL I am more a houseplant kind of person, but you made a great video here....I really enjoyed it....and I subscribed.

Truly living the dream.
Like your fashion choice. So nice.
Could you please let us see the ducks swimming happily in the pond - that would be a dream! Beautiful garden thanks so much for sharing!
You're right, ducks should swim and eat gras. Nice garden.
Your garden is one of the most beautiful home garden i ever seen.

With this sort of duck they shouldn't have much slugs, nor insects. But with free ducks the mini pond would be soon ruined...
You are full of enthusiasm! Good luck! Enjoy the process! Thank you very much for showing your huge and great garden!!!
This is SO SO beautiful! What a gorgeous place for wildlife and colour to enjoy!
What absolutely lovely spaces.
Only just found your channel it’s fabulous, love your garden it’s amazing! Looks like I’ve got some videos to catch up 😂

You can get pheromone traps for the moth . Very simple, I got them from our hardware store, garden centres should have them . They seem to work . K
