In response to right around 28:30 when you both were wondering how the backstories were written and questioning if any devs knew. Hey! I'm an indie dev and the actual Apex Legends devs have talked about how they designed characters in the past. Essentially all the teams sit down, design the look, the personality, the backstories, and the abilities at once. Then as the game progresses and new characters are added, they further expand upon it. HOWEVER. A majority of the Stories from the Outlands released along-side a legend. That means that all of this planning was done on the character's release. The exception however is the OG legends (Plus Octane), who didn't start getting Stories from the Outlands until later. However, I couldn't tell you if the SFTOs were planned from the getgo, slightly planned out, or there wasn't any ideas. From my time spent doing indie dev I'd say they had it roughly planned out but nowhere near finalized, but I don't know for certain
@@tomjsherlock yes i do...the most important thing for me is that you understand the stories and then u can give your thoughts when you pause so you dont miss anything because for example in the loba backstory u pretty much missed it all.
