I always like how they set Michael up with the maggots and worms, so by the time they give him blood to drink, he doesn’t believe Star when she tells him not to drink it.
That’s for damn sure. I can’t wrap my head around that they don’t know about the two Corey’s. Plus they didn’t mentions Jamie Gertz who they should have know from at least Twister.
Another couple of cool vampire movies are Vamp and After Dark. Jamie Gertz (Star) was in Twister and is in a cool coming of age movie set in the 50’s with a great oldies soundtrack is Mischief. It also has Kelly Preston who was married to John Travolta. No one seems to have any reactions to it, but it’s a fun movie.
Jami Gertz that plays Star was in one of my favorite sitcoms "Still Standing" and is also one of the most wealthy actresses. She co-owns the Atlanta Hawks and is worth about 8 billion.
I saw this when I was 12. I'm 49 now. I've been rescuing Huskies from shelters ever since 1987. I have one beside me now (Sonja). They keep the vampires away. So far not one has gotten me. 😉 oh and the Saxophone guy from the board walk still performs.
@@TheRetroManRandySavage Ah, gotcha. I had seen social media posts not too long ago that he was performing, but the older I get the more the passage of time loses all scale.
This was fun, entertaining, stylish, so chic into the 80s, iconic, horror-action-comedy, with an awesome soundtrack & with 80s hot throbs Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric and the two Coreys (Haim & Feldman)....glad that you two were able to enjoy it....Gotta love grandpa, lol 😉
Sometimes music is what takes a film from good to great. The soundtrack of this one is amazing. Its not something you get nowadays, like the movie Singles from the 90s, Lost in Translation, or Pulp Fiction. The soundtrack elevates them. I mean, it elevates it in the sense that you forget about all the cheesy lines and moments. heh.
This is my first video of yours, I picked it because this is a really fun movie and I enjoy watching people discover it. I enjoyed your reaction; I will say - and this seems to be something many reaction channels could stand to learn - it's disappointing to only get a minute or two of thoughts after the film before the video ends. Yes it's fun to watch along and see your reactions during the film, but at least for people like me, with particularly good/fun movies like this, it would be nice to hear you reflect on and process it a bit once it's over.
The year after we got 'The Young Guns' so one could see a trend which was working - young actors featured front and center in ensemble projects, sometimes as 'teen dramas' but graduating to these types of releases. I came for the cool and stayed for the cheese. It works in this film.
Here are a couple of films to watch for Halloween: The Monster Squad The Shed, Wishmaster part 1, Vamp, The Mist, Warlock, Troll part 1, Sinister, V/H/S/Beyond, The Sixth Sense, Ghost Story, Ghoulies 2, Beetlejuice, Lore (2023), Abigail, Fear Street: Part One - 1994 from Netflix, Fear Street: Part Two - 1978, Fear Street: Part Three - 1666 from Netflix, Ghost Stories on Shudder, Sleepy Hollow, Trick R' Treat, Casper, Hocus Pocus, Under Wraps, Ghostbusters, Monster House, Night of the Demons, The Midnight Hour, The Forgotten One, ParaNorman, Waxwork part 1, Tales from the Hood, The Frighteners, Silent Hill, Goosebumps, Creepshow, The Gate, Lady in White, Killer Party, Fright Night part 1, The Night Flier, The Lost Boys, Demons part 1, The Changeling, Poltergeist, The Mortuary Collection, Corpse Bride, Stake Land, Hellboy from Guillermo del Toro, Blade part 1, The Woman in Black, Crimson Peak, The Devil's Backbone, The Conjuring part 1, Evil Dead, Cabin in the Woods, Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight, House part 1, Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, Dog Soldiers, My Demon Lover and Pumpkinhead!!!
My favorite vampire movie! I'm a child of the 80's love all these 80 movies. I've got your NOES reaction to watch soon. Hopefully you get to 3 and 4 of that series.
“ Great it’s the blood sucking Brady Bunch. “ 🩸🦇🦇🦇🦇😆 Great pick, one of the best vampire movie there. Sam I recommend if you do watch the Exorcist, to leave it last on the list and not next, because it is a scary movie. 🫣 Recommendations- -The Texas Chainsaw Massacre -The Shining -The Ring -Poltergeist - Evil Dead (80s version)
This brought back memories. I remember seeing this movie at the drive in double feature with Beetlejuice when I was 6yrs old. I had a crush on Jamie Gertz in the 80s as a kid lol. She is actually doing really well now with being part of the ownership of the NBA team Atlanta Hawks with her husband.
Check out the movies The People Under the Stairs(1991), Stand by Me(1986), A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge(1985), and Weird Science(1985).
Hi! I’m a new subscriber, and already love your reactions. Since you’ve watched “The Lost Boys”, you should react to “What We Do in the Shadows”, which is a mockumentary about vampires rooming with each other. Have a great week!
Check out: The Fearless Vampire Killers, also known as Dance of the Vampires, a 1967 horror comedy by Roman Polański and with Sharon Tate or The Witches of Eastwick (1987) Jack Nicholson, Cher Horror Comedy
Just about everyone who watches this movie never puts it together that grandpa was half vampire the whole time. He's never made a human kill and lives off animals which is why he practices taxidermy. That wasn't root beer in the fridge. His bottles are filled with the blood of the animals he kills lol.

Seems suspect that you haven't even heard of this movie!? Not ever seeing it is one thing but it's a super famous movie so you get called out on this one!!
Well, we actually knew quite a lot about 1940s movies back in the 1980s because they were on TV a lot still back then which sadly is unheard of today where b&w movies are pretty much banned from TV almost like you'd ban offensive language or smoking now, that's how rare it is. We can't blame younger generations for not knowing many older actors, TV today hardly shows anything made even 10 years ago it's just a sad fact of the world that so much is disappearing from public view...
I always like how they set Michael up with the maggots and worms, so by the time they give him blood to drink, he doesn’t believe Star when she tells him not to drink it.
I definitely feel old watching people your age react to these iconic 80’s movies and you likely don’t know 95% of the famous actors in them.😢😂

I think Tim has retired.
He either just retired or he's retiring at the end of this year.
Don't quote me on it, but I'm sure that's the case.😂

He was with Tina Turner for years. Plays keyboards and all sorts of instruments. Very talented man that's for sure

Heck yeah! You guys are awesome 😎 thanks for reacting to it. Plenty more awesome 80s movies from this genre!
Thanks, Sam! Thanks, Tristan! 🧛♀ I saw this one in the cinema.
Since Grandpa knew about Vampires in Santa Carla , The Lost Boys franchise should make a prequel of a young Grandpa first encounter with Vampires.

"That guy's familiar. I don't know what he's been in, though."
Unless you've watched Freaked!, you probably know him as Bill S. Preston, esq.
First staked. He had a totally bogus ending in this movie.
I know it’s not 80s but 2009 Trick R Treat is a good one, I’m glad you two did a reaction to this one it’s an 80s classic!!

Remember seeing this as a kid at a friend's house. For years after I thought the movie was called "Michael" because that's all anyone says
Jason Patric’s father Jason Miller is one of the main actors in the exorcist. Definitely should check it out.
Man if you were a young adolescent when this came out then you loved this picture!😝
One of my favorite movies as a kid
If you are looking for suggestions I recommend Stir of Echoes or Flatlinners w/Kieffer Sutherland 👍 love you guys 🤗
Star, making teenage boys happy since 1987!
This was one of the rad "forbidden" vhs tapes as a kid! 😂 So totally saw it then! 🥰

The movie is forty years old. It's like someone in the 80s not hearing about a movie from the 1940s.
