The game is fantastic, I''m still shocked and incredibly impressed that only 20 devs made the game. It's absolutely insane - with a bigger budget and bigger team, Hellblade 2 could be next level.

That’s why I’m so stoked for 2, and the fact that they’re with Xbox on that release. So much potential, and we know the devs got it, here to hoping the hardware is as great as it seems

The combat in this game is simple but smooth and very fun.
I love how the combat feels like a battle for survival instead of a power fantasy
the combat is crappy - its case of "this balanced around 1v1, but lets throws more in, and have some come in behind you with no sound (or maybe that was yet another bug)".
Get rid of the combat, which the 4 trials proved is not necessary, and you would have a much better game.
Combat of this game is perfect the way they are

Can we also talk about how amazing the rot concept was to the game? I was always in a panic when I would die or even get close to dying. It kept me so anxious and determined

Thanks for this great recap! The story is told in a pretty abstract way so it's nice to get a straightforward, linear summary of the narrative.
I like how Michael finally breaks down a bit, when describing the epic fight. Also... This was a fsckin beast of a game.

Just completed the game and was baffled at the end, I truly thought Senua had died. My interpretation was that quite possibly Senua never defeated Hela as the achievement I got said Confront Hela as apposed to Defeat her. To know she is still alive and that we will hopefully be receiving a sequel makes me very happy, amazing job Ninja Theory.

Finally just played and finished this game like 20 mins ago. Goddamn, one of the best video game experience I've ever had. Like one of those games that stick with you for a long time. Can't wait to see what ninja theory does with hellblade 2! And I'm pretty sure this series will be a trilogy, what with the three dots on the most recent trailer.

This recap completely omits the bargain Senua strikes with hela to fight as her champion at ragnorok, and the ending can also be interpreted as hela released the skull from helhiem and accepting the bargain, thus senua becomes her champion the hellblade.
Nowhere in the game is the sword garm called the hellblade at all.

I got a deal on Steam and played it. I liked a lot about it. There's certainly room for improvement. Hopefully, due to the success of the first game, they were able to make something truly worthwhile.
The reason why is because this was made by only 20 or less people and with a budget of 10-15 million dollars. They had to seek other ways and technology which is why there’s a need for improvement especially the combat that is repeated. However I am pleased and excited that they are now backed by Microsoft meaning a larger budget, all the resources, and of course complete full independence to do with passion.
@@lucjapus26 I was aware of all that before I played and I know they didn't have the budget or staff of Ubisoft. When I type, "truly worthwhile", I didn't mean to suggest it wasn't worth playing. I liked it for what it was.

I love the game the graphics but I gave up on the game after the Forrest puzzle. I saw a video how to best the puzzle and it was so hideous. Hopefully, it won't be hard to accomplish puzzles in the 2nd game
