This was the first boss i ended up fighting besides the tutorial one. I was just exploring and a bear chased me to this well and eventually i ended up lighting all the pillars and had no idea it was going to be this lol. I leveled up from 12 so fast with the 13k runes it gave me and that cool summon! :o
@@markb.6177 It took about 20 minutes but I kept my distance. Whenever the buck would do the triple gallop in the air and come slamming down at me, that's when I dodge rolled into him and attacked. After I got some hits in I would dodge away avoiding the next attack and try doing it all over again. I'll upload the recording and let you know since it's probably easier to see happen :)
If you guys are having trouble keeping track, here’s something i found out to help! So there are 8 braziers. The stairs up to the hallowhorn have stone slabs. Those slabs light on fire when you light a brazier. So if you have 7 braziers lit, those slabs will have 7 slabs lit up meaning that you have kit 7 braziers! Yw!
protip, while on your horse start your first jump when the arrow is coming and do a double jump in a random direction, you'll never get hit by arrows on the run
Once you've done the braziers, teleport to the sofria river bonfire and you can summon for the boss if needed and it's right next to it. Although it turned out to be crazy easy if you're end game doing clean up
This place is so OP dude. those guys with the bows can hit you from a mile away with near perfect accuracy. I can dodge and sprint out of every other NPC that has a bow and arrow but not these guys. They'll hit you mid jump, mid roll...They'll hit you through a damn wall.
If you have killed this boss and your trophy didn't pop it's because you didn't light all the flames. It's possible to fight this boss without all the flames lit. If you do that, it doesn't count. Double check everything is lit and it'll work when you beat it again.
6:48 there is a location (last pillar top) at the left side end where u cant go through the top of the other broken pillars.. can u tell me how to get there. there seems to be something there that i can see from 2nd to. last but cant go directly.

I literally heard people struggling with this boss so I thought it was going to be a challenge but then I realized from the first hit that I was overleveled which made me very disappointed but I was in limgrave so I didn’t know what I was expecting

I wish someone would show how to do this without just running for dear life and hoping for the best. I wanna know where the archers spawn so I can get to them. I came to the pillar in the forest section from the north and when I got to the ruins near it I was suddenly surrounded by the melee guys, which I can deal with, but there was also one or more archers I couldnt see or find firing at me and I couldnt make it.
It'd be nice if these "guide makers" treated it like instructional guides and walk us through with narration and time stamps instead of just uploading silent footage of them scrambling across the map. This dude didn't even bother to mark all 8 locations for the run, he stopped half way to show the remaining 2

Can someone in the replies help me on this? I’ve been playing a while and decided I wanted to get all trophies so I killed all bosses except regal ancestor spirit, and ancestor spirt. For some reason I lit all the ancestor spirit torches, but there wasn’t any light from hallowhorn grounds, it even said the text about the power in some grounds or something I forgot the text. So I tried Regal ancestor spirit and it worked perfectly. So do you have to fight regal before lighting all the torches or?
Boy you could sure take arrows to the back and blows. LOL. It's like you have a target sign on you back saying hit me. haha. I like your determination though. I just followed a different walkthrough for this and the guy had me going all over the place skipping parts and I ended up with 7 out of the 8 lit.Have to start all over again. Wish I had followed yours instead which I am going to follow next.

I absolutely hate those fuckers shooting arrows at you. They snipe you from across the map. I came here early in the game at a low level and they destroyed me, it kinda put me off from going back which I didn’t until late game. I can kill them easily but they’re still annoying
I literally was in awe of its colors and graceful leaps across like WOW you are cool dude! Even as he slammed his hooves on my face, I had to leave the fight cuz I legit questioned even killing it 😂 its like killing a rare graceful animal for no reason
Yeah I'm having same issue. Trying to get the achievement. I've come to do this post end game so I guess he becomes regal after a certain point? Will probably have to do it on Ng+

For the record this is the REGAL version. Completely different trophy attached. Not many guides seem to point to the regular Ancestor Spirit.
I believe this is the normal version and I understand this is a old comment lol I did the regal one first and just started doing this one for my 100%

There is also a teleporter right by the last 2 flames that brings you near the boss.

12 days late but this boss is really easy
its one of those atmospheric boss fights, easy but generally awesome
