What I love so much about Meshell is that it's not about 'her', it's about the music. The music has so many twists and turns, yet always funky (or is that, 'grooving'), yet it can be listened to on so many levels. Fantastic, thanks TDC.
Oh my word, Plantation Lullabies was a seminal album for me as a sometimes bass player, I have such fond memories of chasing up on her released singles and remixes. Great times in the early 90's, great music. I will certainly seek out the new album - beautiful performance
