So happy to see this group gain recognition. It's a joy to have had Thee Sinceers do a Tiny Desk, and now Thee Sacred Souls! We just need a Durand Jones & Indications Tiny Desk now @NPR
The instruments make the music come alive. Beats are great for a bop, partying, or easy listening, but I’m with you, the live band just creates emotions in the soul… makes you remember memories and relive moments in your past, or creates hunger for future fulfillment.
I went to church with Josh and he was a regular at the coffee shop I worked at in my home town, that was over ten years ago. He told us all he was moving to San Diego and that was history, until now pulling up this video and going......wait a minute! I know that guy. Awesome stuff, glad to see he's killing it.

I second the compliment but you'd be surprised. I imagine the geometry of the room plus the clutter helps with isolating sound. Plus, great tracking equipment, top it off with the great recording/mixing engineers it might not be too tedious a task.
Good point.. However, I feel like that lead vocal mic sounds pretty thin and dry. I am missing that chamber reverb sound big time. I think this genre should be drenched in verb like their albums are. Just an observation no hate whatsoever!
