Tip: try working with thiner layers for your white and nude. Focus on your fade but not the structure. Then build your Apex and form the rest of your structure with a milky clear, or sheer pink. This will help blend your fade.

Baby boomer with polygel is difficult or actually time consuming! You did a wonderful job as usual!
My advice is regarding getting your coffin shape, you can trim the sides with nail scissors much quicker and I personally use isopropyl alcohol instead of polygel liquid, it works much better in my opinion.
Also the music to your voice ratio is much better in this video! 💖👸💅

@@jessica_0117 😁👏👏 Great! Another tip if you're interested, is that l gently warm the polygel before use and that has been very helpful too. I just warm a towel in the dryer then wrap the polygel tubes in it before using it to layer my baby boomer fades. 🥰💅🤝😉

I have my slip solution on a cotton wool pad, so I just wipe my brush rather than dipping. I've heard too much slip or isa causes lifting . you did a really beautiful job xx

I’ve just recently bought tons of poly gels and more equipment, I normally do my own nails as well ☺️ but girl this ombré look is amazing!! It’s exactly how I’ve always wanted it the minimum times I’ve gotten it done at a salon and nobody could get it done right ! But girl you got the exact style I love. 💯😊💅🏼 I will definitely do this!! Beautiful! Great job for just starting to use polygels. I only use them now because of health issues I can't breathe the acrylic fumes.. I've been using the nail nails brand but just ordered the this brand yesterday. Can't wait to try them. BTW you can use forms the same as any other product. I like to give them a slight pinch with my fingers after 5 seconds in the lamp to help with the C curve and they turn out great

Really hard to do fade with polygel and think adding the sheer pink on top helps with the blend
Yes I think so too! But I noticed that the white must be really smooth and have an even layer of clear pink on top in order for the end result to be smooth and even. Otherwise all imperfections and dents will be visible because of the color difference, so annoying:/

Great video, I’m a gel tech through and through but I’ve found a use for poly gel. I use it to sculpt the tips for my nails, then I file into shape and go over with builder gel like I normally would. I like the polygel for sculpting tips but I just can’t create structure with it, it’s so hard to maneuver for me. You’re very good with it though!

Love the tips that you are using, I think "en Vogue" is selling in the U.S. now, so I'll be picking up some hard gel, etc.. Some people find poly gel hard to use in anything except a Dual Form. I have more trouble with the Dual Form than just straight to nail application, so I love this tip application right off. White poly gel is the hardest to cure because of the pigmentation, flipping the hand over so it can cure the tip from under side helps. Best quick dry nail glue, anything from Kiss brand or 5 Second Nail glue. Buffing the tip and all, perfect! I've seen a lot of fails because people assume that it will just stick to the nail tip. You really need to buff that tip to get it to stick unless the tips are pre-formed gel. All in all, a great fade, like you said the nice thing with poly gel is that you can work it until it's perfect and end up with minimal filing, too. I think the best fades that I've seen done with poly gel or acrylic use 3 colors, white, a pink to blend and a lighter pink to completely blend the fade. Great video, you just do great nails no matter what medium you use! Happy Holidays!

The pink color on top is great for blending the fade and I’ve noticed that acrylic and polygel isn’t as blendable as gel. This was soo much effort compared to gel, maybe I should do a video on that so you can see the difference hmmm. But polygel is so cheap and durable so it’s definitely worth trying❤️
@@jessica_0117 I've got about 10 small tubes of poly gel sitting here that I hardly ever use! Maybe I should play with them a little more but I got so hooked on hard gel. I have some gel polishes but haven't used them yet since I have about 200 bottles of regular polish and I like to just change color and design at a moments notice. I do love the baby Boomer look but that would mean leaving my nails bare, I'm too OCD for that. : )

but if u turn ur brush from above and pull up toward the cuticle side to fade the white it will be alot easier for u

@ 2:51 Just a friendly FYI ...that type of glue you are supposed to use the smallest amount like a 1mm dot .You will see using a tiny amount you will get better results with that particular type of glue.

Hi so I have been having a problem with my nails and I have no idea what to do. Last week i took off my polygel nails and now there is a slight bruise on the nail and it looks like the centre of the nail has swelled a bit creating a ridge, I dont know what I did to cause this and it's really annoying if anyone could help me and tell me what It is and maybe how to fix it that would be brilliant.

this white polygel looks super hard to work with, it's kinda like gum, maybe try another brand, it's not supposed to be this hard
also the nude polygel is to sheer, it's not a good one for babyboomer, there are other colors out there and brands that work way better =) I used happygel from max estradad the other day the color was eternal beige, it was kindof a rosy pink color and was really easy to fade
