Trains at WINCHESTER (WIN) 20/02/2024 - Plenty of Class 70s

Winchester is located in Hampshire, England. The station sits on the South West mainline. It has just two platforms. In this video, you will see trains from South Western Railways, Cross Country Trains, Freightliner, and GBRF.

Verdict: 3.5/5 A busy station dominated by South Western Railway. Its proximity to Eastleigh means during the week you will see loco variety added into the mix. The layout and only two platforms mean that you can sometimes get bowled when filming or taking photos unless you leg it over to the over platform. Winchester is not a favourite, but I wouldn't rule out a revisit.

Great video at Winchester Andrew. 0:12 Odd seeing FL 70009 on the Eastleigh to Hinksey working this usually a colas 66 or a colas 70. I wish Freightliner 70s would come back to work on Felixstowe and London Gateway.
