- If automakers don't want sedans to go anywhere they should makes great sedans that people want to drive. Is the Mercedes-Benz C-Class one such sedan? Is its design language up to luxury standards? This is Mercedes biggest selling car, they are going to pay attention to every detail. Buy a used one and save on the depreciation from the first 2 years.
It's odd how much better the car looks in real life than in these videos. Especially when driving behind, either directly or from 3/4 rear position, it looks much more swoopy and rounded on the rear.
You can get a used Mercedes c class for around 25k. Gotta love depreciation. Mercedes depreciates so fast. I'd never buy a new Mercedes unless I'm leasing it.
S Q kinda depends on year right? I mean a 20+ old C-class could be like $2500.
I kinda love the 1980s Mercedes aesthetic much more than the current models. I just imagine repairs and maintenance might be a pain.
Omar S I have a 1985 and 2015 E Class and they both are very reliable. The 2015 gets driven 35k a year since new and the 1985 only has 76,000 miles. My 125,000 mile E Class has just been through routine maintenance at an independent specialist.
Completely correct. My family replaced a totaled 2017 GS350 with a 2015 C300 completely loaded out. (Premium pack, AMG pack, 19” wheels, nav, pano, leather, vented seats, dynamic LED lights and more for $22k with 22k miles. It’s an awesome car with an incredible interior for the money. Also gets 33-35 mpg on a mostly highway trip and can keep up with most quick cars well. Beats an older Charger RT 0-60. Also the Burmester is the best system in the class by far.
Tyler Beeson I went through a surprise two days ago. I couldn’t believe I passed a E63s AMG with my GLC43 AMG suv on the highway up to 145mph!! I beat him twice from 85mph roll race and from 105 to 145mph. He was shocked as I am. He gave me a thumbs up. It was the best race I have ever been in from Los Angeles to Phoenix. No cops in sight
Emerald Green looks good on this. Nice that they brought the color back after a 20 or so year hiatus.

I own the 2015 C300, it's really a great vehicle. Soon as this depreciates the next year I'll sell mine and purchase this one.
I purchased a 2017 with night package with 15k miles just a shade under 30k. best money I ever spent. The torque curve on this engine is one of beauty. The in your seat feel when you hit at low rpm/speeds is something you usually only get out of a v8 engine. And you can get a tune for it to add 60 hp and 75 torque on top of all that! Driving my C5 z06 around (which has 400hp) I find myself wondering where my low end torque is at compared to when I'm driving the c300 around. crazy.
I have no intention of buying any car like this, but Micah is so entertaining, I watched this review anyway. I did have a 2012 one of these, and the improvements are definitely much needed. Mercedes are a bit weird sometimes with that whole 'best or nothing' slogan. They say that and then make you pay $1600 for keyless entry. I got rid of mine because it didn't have xenon or LED headlights, and I'm rather picky about being able to see where I'm going at night.

I’m a little surprised that you guys didn’t include the Tesla Model 3 in the list of alternative options since the base version (SR+, I’m not going to mention the odd menu SR configuration) has a similar price to the base C-Class.
Why would we opt for an EV if we’re in the market for one that isn’t - that wouldn’t be helpful.
Amazingly, Mercedes is managing to give itself an air of low-rent by optioning the kind of tech that ACTUAL low-renters are spec'd with by default, except the low-renters are all-round pretty bloody good by default now too. Mercedes has got a lot of soul searching to do.

My mother recently traded in her 2019 A4 for a 2019 C-Class, and personally I think the C-Class is a much better car than the A4. Both of the A4 and C-Class were all-equipped, and therefore had quite similar features... although I’ve gotta say, the C-Classes technology will never compete with the A4’s. Personally I’d buy an A4 cause I’m a very tech orientated person, but if you care about luxury and comfort, the C-Class has no competitor in its class!
AJ Tesla is better. You can watch Netflix/TH-cam and play cup head,beach buggy racing,chess on the 15” screen and the car can drive itself around the parking lot.
No other brand of cars can do what Tesla does.

i think the 3 series can be had for less and is more fun to drive. I had the C Class - the run flat doesnt work as advertised. I had to crawl on the highway shoulder in the dark of night due to lack of spare tire.
I think I’d prefer a Genesis G70. Much more reliable, athletic, and professional.

start-stop resets every time you turn off the car. Or you can turn it back on manually during the same driving session.
No it doesn't. It will abruptly start and stop. Also it sometimes just won't stop at all. The programmers were on crack when they developed this.

And you get two dogs ? Subaru uzed to be more expensive than there competitors then prices came up and subaru stayed the same now they are the value option . With kias selling for high 30s to mid 40s the Mercedes is becoming more of a value . Especially if you can get one off a one year lease with low miles value s going to drop and get you a good deal. Ive always though the 300 was the best model with yhe current stuff they put in it . 6sec 0-60 and 34mpg todays tech is amazing nothing even close to that in the so called good old days . The engineering we take for granted now is amazing,yet we still complain. I mostly bitch about price cuz i want all this cool stuff and cant have it . Still watching kia stinger prices from you review a year ago ,coming down alot. Maybe 11 years from now ill get one (300).

Only problem with this C Class, which no one ever talks about, is the tinny, ticky, dieseley, irritating sound of the engine. It's like driving a 1979 diesel.
I looked at it today and thought something wrong with it.
And in Canada we get the wagon too, Just sayin....
I just wish the E Class deprecated just as much as this C Class.

Yeah try to complete a 1000 mile highway road trip with 4 persons and baggage with a Corvette, and then tell me you still prefer it over the C Class.😂
But you have a point, the corvette is way more exciting than a "boring" C Class, but thats what some kind of people want/need.

2:46 Audi, BMW and Mercedes shouls start bringing the LWB versions of their cars to America. I makes sooo much more sense to have those cars in America and its big roads more than China's narrow streets.
A long wheelbase C class, A4, 3 series would impede on the sales of the E class, A6 and 5 series

Full leather is standard? Really? Most lower end MB models offer “ MB Tex” faux leather seat surfaces as standard.

Yazeed Saber the Toyota Corolla an ECONOMY car has had led headlights standard for YEARS now and Mercedes shipping any new vehicle after 2012 with halogens is a DISGRACE

The Toyota Camry has only has led headlights as standard for the 2018 model year and up, the base models for 2017 and lower had led running lights only, which the old c class also had as standard. Learn the difference between daytime running lights and headlights you idiot.

No touch screen in 2019? LOL.Also that start stop has to be turned off every single time.
MB introduced touch screens last year with their new infotainment system MBUX. Prior to this it was considered a safety hazard by Mercedes-Benz and they would not implement touch screens in any form. The C-Class has not received the new mbux.
I can't help but notice the way Mercedes Benz did the headlights. Acura caught so much crap for that when they did it.
I drove one of these and the interior just feels cheap to me. Honestly it's better to get an older E-Class for the same money. The E-Class is truly remarkable. It feels so much more stable, and the ride is way smoother compared to the C.
A corolla even comes w smart key access standard, and Mercedes makes this an option to buy? WOW, just WOW.
And to me, this car was rather... vague and boring. Didn’t impress at all. Micah tho, it was only you that made the car interesting. We will take you instead :)

I hate the Mercedes infotainment screen. It looks cheap, fragile and looks straight out of a Kia.
cameron burke if you just focus on looks in a video or picture sure, but sit inside one and use it, and I feel you’d change your tune.
Honestly Mercedes entertainment is my favorite, tied with the slightly older version of iDrive. It’s super easy to use, has manual controls for everything, and has awesome iPod integration with great map graphics. Always really fast too, even in the older cars.

never buy this 300 serious. If you must have MB, consider E350 serious above. The 300 serious comes with cheap quality, noisy, uncomfortable ride, trouble uncomfortable rear seats, no power. the brand new one my friend had purchase in 2017 stopped in middle of freeway in less than 10 days and police had to stop the traffic in mid lane section of 405 Freeway, in 4 months the starter went bad, and in a year the battery went dead.
