I’m looking for Houdini material blending workflow similar to UE5 blend layers with automaterials. Does the mix limit effectively rule out Karma GPU or is there another approach?
Unfortunately yes because they are not official materialx nodes. These are created by sidefx for houdini to fill the gaps that are currently missing in mtlx. Once they have an official solution these will likely be deprecated

So now we have two Fresnel nodes in MTLX, and neither of them fulfills the purpose of MTLX to transfer to other software?
