- Judgment (Judge Eyes: Testament of the Shinigami) is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Sega for the PlayStation 4. Initially developed under the codename Project Judge, the game is a spin-off of the Yakuza series. The game was released on December 13, 2018 in Japan, and will be localized for a worldwide release in 2019. It stars Japanese actor Takuya Kimura.

Pretty sure I beat him on my first go. Maybe I was overprepared? It wasn't super easy granted, I probably got hit with his Deadly Attack but I don't think I died much in the main story
Part of me wants to believe that the guy you meet in the bar Earth Angel is actually Cane Man & he just says he has A twin brother. He befriends you after your fight cause hes grows to respect you.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the Cane Man at the bar was the same Cane Man you fought, though I like to believe he made up the excuse on the spot out of panic.

The cane man HAS to make a return. I don't care how and I barely care if it makes any bit of sense. He was one hell of an antagonist against Yagami despite being in the game for such a short time. He had all these little schemes, cane-based weapons, and henchmen that he seemed like an equal to Yagami.

The fact we got more info on him on lost judgment and to point i want him to come back like they have perfect reason to just bring him back in the series fuckin hell. Also Kaito files in few days less goooo.... hopefully it won't be like Majima saga in kiwami 2

They way they threw out minor characters was disappointing. Murase especially.

Wish granted, sort of. He's in Lost Judgment, but he's mostly one of the rivals you can pick in Dice & Cube, the VR game. And it's his twin brother, not the one you fight in the story.

@@MrTheDerper Tojo is a Kanto Region Yakuza while Kyorei is from Kansai. So Kyorei is more like a LA mafia family that came to New York.

Deadly Attacks are introduced when fighting Murase. When a boss's aura flares up, they're about to perform one. Watch out, because if you get hit with one, not only will it do a ton of damage, but it'll also cause a Mortal Wound, which cannot be healed using food or drinks and reduces your max HP until you get it treated at a doctor, or by using a medkit, neither of which are cheap. When they use a Deadly Attack, you have three options. EX Boost, which will prevent the Mortal Wound and the damage at the cost of a huge chunk of the EX meter, Quickstepping it, or using a wall attack to interrupt it. Be careful, though. If you botch it, you're gonna be right in front of them. Deadly Attacks cannot be blocked even if you have a weapon equipped, so don't bother. Deadly Attacks aren't the only thing that can cause Mortal Wounds, by the way. Guns and Knives can also cause them. Most bosses are left open after a Deadly Attack, giving you a prime opportunity for some payback.

The english dub for this game is surprisingly very good, especially how they tried to match the words with the mouths moving in a lot of the scenes
Like A Dragon's was really good too
If I recall, they animated seperate lip movements for the English dub which is why it feels so natural in comparison
You mean they did lip syncing? That's quite old technology, shame not all use it really well or at all. Like in Witcher 3, where they made a reversal of that stuff and by God all non-English dub is twisted in all the wrong ways, dub is either too fast or too slow.
@@GameJoltTobi Apparently it's an in-engine thing with the dragon engine. But I feel like it's costly to re-animate everything. Since besides LaD I don't see any Dragon engine games using it at all.
This actually works as a workout music as well.

The time signature is great for small movements, like dancing. I wouldn't recommend trying to match the time for sit-ups or pull-ups; you're likely to tear something moving that fast 😅

Murase's the first real boss fight you'll go up against in Judgment, and he's not exactly someone to scoff at. Though you're surrounded by furniture to pick up, this is the first time you'll encounter Deadly Attacks. When Murase gets a hold of a katana, his aura flares up and he charges you, which the tight space makes pretty difficult to dodge. Keep yourself stocked on healing items and be sure to dodge when you see an orange aura, and you'll probably make it out with all four limbs!
You can also use EX Burst if you don't think you'll get out of the way in time. This will negate the damage, but it'll drain a ton of the EX Meter. Alternatively, if you like to live dangerously, you can perform a wall attack, and if it hits before the Deadly Attack is launched, it'll damage the boss and interrupt the attack. However, Deadly Attacks cannot be blocked by any means, and if Yagami takes a hit from one without EX Burst active, not only will it do a TON of damage, but it'll also cause a Mortal Wound. Mortal Wounds cannot be healed using food or drink, effectively reducing Yagami's max HP until he gets it healed by either using a medkit, or by going to an actual doctor, and neither of them are cheap. Guns and Knives can also cause Mortal Wounds as well.
What this song should be: Payday 3 soundtrack, a playable soundtrack in Ultrakill, and in a fighting animation collab. Or perhaps even madness combat.

Penumbra is a nice change of pace for final boss music, tbh. Instead of a club banger or heartfelt symphonic track, you get a menacing, pounding theme that doesn't scream "THIS IS THE END!"
