Thanks for the video. Amazon is currently advertises it as a 7 Watt radio. Did you have a chance to measure the spurious emission/sideband suppression of this particular version? It looks like the base version (without "Plus") had some serious issues with harmonic suppression, I am wondering if they fixed it. If they did, this would be a good radio for the price. If I recall correctly it did have spurs
Think of Watts as lumens to understand why more watts at higher frequency. Think of frequency as resistance. The higher frequency the less resistance, the more lumens. It's an old flashlight analogy that is from Aristotle's notes. Don't laugh it's true. Light is near zero ohms and so the fastest frequency.

nice video' I have seen 2 pack of China radios test different on power and harmonics . still ?? on that. so I just teach each radio . solar weather messing up VHF and UHF at times. internet lag cell phone drop calls . the HF bands have been a mess. 6 meters has been open at times even at night . but distortion on RX signals making a hard copy. even decoding FT8 on 6 meters been hard. must be solar noise. surprising Baofeng battery is pretty good. have good life and run time. test the battery run time . and USB charge time. 73's

Its concerning when they avoid stating power levels. Maybe as some call it 10w.🤷🏻♂️
Maybe I am too dumb to find where they posted it...
If it has the SYNC option to display freq & channel name SIMULTANEOUSLY when scrolling through the channels - I want one.
Not sure if it does, I have'nt played with it much.
There seems to be more UHF-only radios available out of China. Makes me think UHF is more prevalent over there (for non-ham use). Might be why the dual-band radios output a bit less on VHF; like it's an add-on to what started out as a UHF only rig. But who knows.

When you test for harmonics I'll be surprised if it puts out 3 watts on frequency and the first is less than -5dBm. Boofwangs are crap like a lot of ccrs.😮
