    The medical social worker at the hospital my nephew was born at was amazing! He tested positive for substances so SW stepped in, I became his foster mom and ended up taking him home from the hospital. The 3 weeks he was in the hospital, she was so amazing with communication and honestly the only reason I knew a lot of the information. You could tell she truly cared.

    As a float pool CNA in a hospital, I gotta say the social workers are the real MVPs no matter the unit.

    • @AnnaBea

      I'll add this to the list for future videos!! a lot of pay rates will vary depending on the area your job is in and the area of the field you are in. Glassdoor can be a helpful website to see what social workers are making in your area at specific places of work!

    How long are the hours for a medical social worker? I'm interested in getting my MSW. Not sure how long internship is though.

    • @AnnaBea
      @AnnaBea  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      my work hours are regular full time hours! for internship, a MSW typically requires 900 internship hours total (less if you have a bachelors of social work -- my internship was not in a hospital). I think this video will be helpful for you! th-cam.com/video/Grno-waE1xU/w-d-xo.html

    If I have a Bachelor degree when would you recommend at work at the hospital??

    • @AnnaBea
      @AnnaBea  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      look at job postings in your area to learn about what opportunities you have with your bachelors! different cities and states vary on what qualifications you need for different job titles -- my position requires an LMSW but not every hospital requires you to have your masters

      I think the most game-changing for me was my coworkers showing me their set ups so I would know what tabs are useful to have and in what order. Almost everything is customizable, it’s just finding how to customize it best 🤣 Lots of trial and error, too
