以下の日本語訳。 I agree with others; jam session 2 was incredibly beautiful. However, it felt more than 'just' incredibly beautiful! It felt 'cinematic'; music waiting for the movie to be created. Their playing painted strong cinematic images in my mind. That's 'expected' for Williams, Zimmer, or Morricone. However, to improvise something like that is comparable to Ry Cooder creating the music for 'Paris Texas'. I accept it was only a few minutes, not a whole movie. Lately everything Yoyoka is doing these days is hitting it out of the park: this jam session, each and everyone of the stellar birthday celebration performances, the recent Radiohead cover (15 Steps), the Zeppelin and Ozzy Osbourne remote collaborations (with Friends).... I could go on. Everything top notch. Not watching because I'm a fan. Watching -- and sometimes watching over and over again -- because I'm enjoying them so much. And one more thing: in each and every case when Yoyoka collaborates, I end up being as impressed with the other musicians as with Yoyoka herself. She is a generous spirit, never hogs the spotlight and really knows how to pick em.
I love how selective she is in her collaborations. The type of people she is collaborating with...is A-List. Their combined musical talents is next to none. Truly Epic...Iconic. Happy...Happy...Happy.
While I adore all of Yoyoka Soma's classic rock covers, this might be the most exciting thing I have seen from her yet. Her inventiveness, dynamics, are just so refined! I love fun, goofy Yoyoka when she's playing something "easy" (like a Bonham song!), but serious, making it up as she goes Yoyokas is almost scary! She's just a thrill to watch.
And that's why she needs her own band, writing original songs!! Covers only take you so far. Connecting with your audience with original tunes. That's the ticket!
You can really see how Yoyoka is now ready to just jump in to any situation whether it's a jam, band or studio session and fit right in immediately like any pro she plays with. It's quite astonishing for a twelve year-old!
This is something that we’ve seen more of recently. Before we mainly saw her playing with recordings, where she was insanely impressive, but for her twelfth birthday we’re seeing her a lot more untethered and she can completely handle all of it.
@@koshersalaami She can handle anything that's thrown at her. She's exudes confidence and power on the kit and it's just stunning to watch. Yoyoka isn't just one of my favorite kid drummers, she's one of my favorite drummers that I've ever seen. Men have such a physical advantage when playing drums as it takes speed, stamina, and strength... here's a petite 12 year old kid, a FEMALE no less, rockin' harder and better than these dude drummers can even begin dream about. Prodigy!
Her ability to lay down a solid groove and effortlessly improvise her fills, not attention-seeking histrionics, is what sets Yoyoka apart from her peers.
Amazing how sophisticated her playing has become in such a short time, and Ryunosuke seems to bring out the best in her. I think they both had a good time.
This wonderful girl is a beast behind the kit. I love the feel and power in her playing. She is not novelty because of her age she is just a damn good drummer.
I’m a fan and I’m blown away. This whole twelfth birthday thing has meant she’s trying a lot of new things very quickly, like tripleted jazz rhythm and 5/4 time (Radiohead). And now she’s playing things that aren’t covers and proves immediately that she isn’t tied to imitating other drummers. The tone, the steadiness, and especially the taste level are through the roof. For the first time I’m hearing things that make me wonder if she’s been listening to Mike Shrieve playing with Santana.
I have to say, jam sessions are the greatest thing - they trigger all manner of creativity and really help build that communication between musicians that is vital to creating great music. This is going to be amazing!
This is musical improv of the highest caliber! As a blues guitarist, I can attest, improving with other fluid/creative musicians creates beautiful moments that are not and cannot be discovered any other way! You listen to it after and realize you created the basis for several great songs potentially. They created at least 3!
She's going to be quite the backbone of the band she starts and it will be her band don't kid yourselves. You can already tell that she will be running the show.
It's been a very long time since I saw 竜之介/Ryunosuke playing the guitar on TV. He was as little as Yoyoka was a little while ago. Both of them are super.
Can you dig it?!?!? Ya, ya, ya KNOW IT!!! Two extreme top tier artists, taking us on a journey into the land of 'Amazed..... completely, 10000000000000% Amazed' as in ...totally wow!!!🎶🌻💥🎶
Me too. Ryunosuke laid down some abrupt challenges and changes at times but Yoyoka could pretty much follow anything, and her responses flowered into some of the funkiest rhythms I've heard from her. Her improv stuff is a goldmine.
How many drummers can almost instantly find exactly the right groove to drive the guitarist's intent. In her recent collaborations, Yoyoka has taken control from the first beat, driving the other musicians to exceed, effortlessly, instinctively. I can't wait to see what she does with the piano and bass over the next few years. No pressure ☺
She understands dynamics, and she's got 'telepathy', in addition to all of her other skills, not to mention a well-developed musical vocabulary. I think she could sit in with almost anyone at this point and not make a fool of herself. I've only played with one drummer as good as or better than her, and he was a session guy/drum teacher that we had to pay relatively big bucks to.
Stick some bass on there and it's a Rush level album track! And anyone that knows Rush understands what high praise that is! Seen a lot of rock bands in my time and these little jam sessions that artists do to give the singer a breather are a treat.
To say that I thoroughly enjoyed that is an understatement. It’s too short. Would love to see more from these two. What a session. I can even tell that Ryunosuke was enjoying the whole thing esp. on the third session. They were really grooving. Yoyoka is so good at understanding the music cues. I guess with all the free sessions with her dad helped. Definitely one of her best improv sessions. More of this please. 👍🏼🥁🤘🏼🙏🏽 In addition, they need to release these jam sessions as fully finished recorded songs. Or at least complete them. They’re so good. If it wasn’t indicated on the description that it’s a jam session, you would think it’s their original collab songs. They have good musical chemistry and good artistic combination. Btw, Ryu can definitely play and has a good vibe. I think he was a prodigy too when he was younger. 🙏🏽🤞🏼✌🏼
I think a lot of "seasoned" drummers might just feel a tad threatened that a "kid" can play just about anything they can play. My hands are getting too arthritic to play any good these days, but my bass player's ears still work well enough to hear exactly what I want to hear, and I wish Yoyoka was around when I was a youngster, great groove drummers are exceedingly hard to find, as rare as hen's teeth you might say.
@@tibetbill I read a comment somewhere that she doesn't hold the left stick correctly, and therefore she can't play... words like that... sounds catty and childish when people go public with comments like that. Have you Ian Paice's reaction to her "Burn" cover?
@@tibetbill Yoyoka is a power hitter, quite incredible for a skinny kid (no offence Y), as hard as a grown man and perhaps more consistent, I doubt she could do that with a tradition Buddy Rich type grip. Quite often I'll watch her vids several times, one time focusing on the snare, the next on the kick, then the hi-hat, then the overall flourish of fills and such, she is amazingly "multi-dexterous", each limb apparently totally autonomous, have a look at her kick drum and hi-hat techniques, I'm... running out of words.

Wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow......this is so unbelievably earth moving. This is what is going to propel Yoyoka into the musical stratosphere, forget about the world stage. This will take her farther. If these two can find a couple more players at their level, they're in....I mean...all the Jazz festivals, all the major venues, all the major labels...all of it. There is so much potential here. There are so many directions they can take this if they choose....jazz of course but also fusion, rock, hard rock, prog rock, funk, R&B, metal, you name it. I love her covers but this is a whole other mind-blowing level. Her improvisation here is off the charts. There is no other 12-year old on the planet that can improvise like this. None.
They had some really good moments there. They were both listening to one another and pretty tuned in to what the other was playing. I watched this because I wanted to see something new from Yoyoka, but the guitar player is very good and original in his approach. I really enjoyed it, even though there was no bass player. Yoyoka, of course, just kicked butt all the way through.

YOYOKA thank you for this going away gift and Welcome to America! Enjoy your stay. I hope you get to record in Princes' studio (Paisley Park). Minnesota has so much going on. It's a cool place for music. I'll be looking forward to seeing the music you record in LA. and Minnesota.
I would love it if she’ll be joined by Sheila E. And maybe give her some pointers. From what I understand, she’s already aware of Yoyoka. But I might be wrong and can’t verify it. Read it somewhere.
imagine meeting this little girl and hearing that she plays drums and thinking whatever you might think , 'oh that's cute'... only to later realize she PLAYS THE DAMN THING. as good as any to ever do it. keep on rocking on
This should be good. She always have jam sessions with her dad and always love them. But doing it with other creators would be a different vibe and should be rockin’. We know she always bring it too. Can’t wait. 👍🏼🥁🤘🏼
LOVE IT!!! These two are fantastic together. This is my new favorite snare of Yoyoka’s. It used to be the yellow Sonor, but this… bronze(?) snare is near perfect.
This is so crazy good man all of these need to become completed tracks they're that good!! It's an insanely good jam session you guys vibe well with each other. Can't stop smiling the entire video and jam session 2 was just incredibly beautiful.
Just fantastic. Two young wonderfully talented muso's complimenting each other, with three wonderful Jam sessions. My word the future of rock music is in great hands. I did not want the Jam's to finish. Phenominal.
The second jam session that you play together definitely is a good song you just need someone to write words to it it needs a story and you will have a hit
I have a feeling this was the making of a fabulous friendship. That jag was nasty sounding on the last jam and it was wicked good. Solid drumming and solid fret work. 🤘🏼

Two prodigies with some great musical chemistry here. Magic happens. FUN to watch!
RIGHT ON!!! Yoyoka & Ryunosuki! I've completely run bone dry in the adjective department for ways to describe the brilliant drumming and NOW the professionals she teams up with! You are one of a kind Yoyoka! You've carried me and I'm sure many others thru this Covid ordeal! Feeling down? Confused? Somewhat depressed? Pull up the latest Yoyoka vid and settle in for the show! INCREDIBLE! God bless you little one. Regards from balmy Las Vegas Nevada...
You speak the truth for so many of us. Check out Kimono Mom! Much much more than a cooking show! Wholesom positive vibes from the parents and the future comedic actress w yo Sutan!
Hey thanx Chris! I have been following this amazing talent since I accidently stumbled upon the video of her at the age of 7 doing the "Good times/Bad times" cover with Robert Plant looking on! It doesnt get any better! I have never heard of Kimono Mom but I will go on your word and go have a look at it....Stay healthy wherever you call home Chris and Many thanx from balmy Las Vegas, Nevada!@@chrisegbertky

Is she going to Minnesota? To Princes' studio? WOW!!!! 👏 😍 GIRL'S ROCK!!!
Yes, I’m hoping maybe she will do the Bootsy Collins collab at Paisley Park. It’s possible, right?
I would love it if she’ll be joined by Sheila E. And maybe give her some pointers. From what I understand, she’s already aware of Yoyoka. But I might be wrong and can’t verify it. Read it somewhere.
@@iFoneVids I'm betting if bootsy's producing her, the buzz has started to spread.
@@gizmotis that would be wonderful. She deserves it.
日本のRock Sceneがすごい事になってますネ。😄🥳
Bravo, !! Thanks for the fresh and innovative sounds, more jam sessions please!
this young lady is something else!!!.....go yoyoka!!!
imagine meeting this little girl and hearing that she plays drums and thinking whatever you might think , 'oh that's cute'... only to later realize she PLAYS THE DAMN THING. as good as any to ever do it. keep on rocking on
What an into!! Love #2…. Wow you guys are great together; feeding off each other’s energy. Amazing!!!! ✌️❤️🙏🤙
Coolest YOYOKA video ever? Incredible, both of you.
Wow i found the vids of you jamming with other muzo's.... freeking awsome....
Yoyoka × Ryunosuke Yamagishi 😊 👍
This should be good. She always have jam sessions with her dad and always love them. But doing it with other creators would be a different vibe and should be rockin’. We know she always bring it too. Can’t wait. 👍🏼🥁🤘🏼
LOVE IT!!! These two are fantastic together. This is my new favorite snare of Yoyoka’s. It used to be the yellow Sonor, but this… bronze(?) snare is near perfect.
A lot is said about rock music being dead, can't see that assertion with young musicians like these, awesome jam session.
Two Maestros = amazing music.
I find myself drawn to this over and over. So good so enjoyable!
Still as good as it gets.
This is so crazy good man all of these need to become completed tracks they're that good!! It's an insanely good jam session you guys vibe well with each other. Can't stop smiling the entire video and jam session 2 was just incredibly beautiful.
Agree, jam session 2 was so beautiful
Yeah #2 jam is my favorite as well.
Just fantastic. Two young wonderfully talented muso's complimenting each other, with three wonderful Jam sessions.
My word the future of rock music is in great hands.
I did not want the Jam's to finish.
Phenominal.
Not simply technically superb, the second piece was musically beautiful. Next up, Ginger Baker's 'Toad'?
The second jam session that you play together definitely is a good song you just need someone to write words to it it needs a story and you will have a hit
一方的に二人の小さい頃から知っている自分としてはBIGな出来事です。
I have a feeling this was the making of a fabulous friendship. That jag was nasty sounding on the last jam and it was wicked good. Solid drumming and solid fret work. 🤘🏼
Can't get enough. Yoyoka is mesmerizing. This jam is every bit as good as anything on Jeff Becks album Blow by Blow
This girl is super talented. She plays very precisely and super crisp. Great stuff.
Good morning Yoyoka! Your exuberance is contagious and I got the bug, first it gave me happy feet then my spine began to slip while I danced the new day in with you! Thanks! you're the greatest! You're energy is pure happiness!!!
Amazing !! Great improvisation, great composition, great FUNK, great metal great expression and personity. Very pretty and masterful guitar. Yoyoka and Ryunosuke play big, heavy, colorful and delicate. More please !
