You know we all have these blunders and instead of stressing over it, you did an awesome job of going with the flow! That's been my mantra since when I first got back into the hobby, not gonna stress about how anything comes out. If it needs to be stripped and repainted, so be it, and I've done a few.
Hey, I have a 1984 Mercury Capri RS (since April of 84) that is silver, but has the Canyon Red interior! Good attitude towards the build. A lot of people would have put it back in the box and put it in the closet! Good Job!
@@ModelCarGuyRich I almost traded mine in in 85 due to the fact of 35 more horsepower, better suspension, etc. But, my girlfriend, now my wife, talked me out of it. I have drove the heck out of that Capri, now, it mostly sits in the garage, out for some tire spinning on occasion!

Bought in 88
Drove the heck out of it.
