    David, brother I can not thank you enough for making this video, as I have the same leak on my 2011 F-150 3.5L EcoBOOST.
    Ordered the exact same kit you mentioned in this video, wouldn't have known what to order without your generosity and concern for fellow F-150 owners.
    May God bless you and your family brother, again many thanks for taking the time, trouble and effort to make this video and share it on TH-cam. 😁👍🏼

    My dealer wanted $900 for this fix! Tried smearing some silicone around that coupling, no dice. Dave, thank you for making this video. I just ordered my repair kit as well! Pegasus needs to start paying you commission! :-) Thanks again!

    Just did this to mine F150 thank you for making the video. Quick tip, get the hose as far up the nipple as possible by boiling the hose. If you can't get it all the way up to the tank, clamp it and fill the reservoir with antifreeze and drive around for about 20 mins. When you get back home, the hose will be extremely hot and then very easy to get flush to tank, be sure to wear some heat resistant gloves.

      hey Morgan, Your absolutely welcome. Spread the word. Always a pleasure to help out Ford f150 Owners. I only have 50,000 miles on my Truck and for this to fail this early in its life was a shocker for me when the Dealer told me this was a common failure.

      I had mine replaced by a local shop last November and now it's leaking again on that clip side. What can I do to fix it, I don't want to pay out huge money again. Thanks. Please help.

    Man I had to remove the overflow reservoir completely to get that hose snug. It would have been quicker had I just started with that. Also, soak the 1" side in some boiling water per the instructions. 40 seconds or so should do. Thanks for the video, it seems to be working fine. Next up, Tune up!

    Thanks for the awesome video. Got my kit and installing today. BTW, the "joiner" is called a "hose barb". Not trolling brother, just in case someone needed the name.

      Hillbilly Rideshare Driver yep! Its Pretty tough, But its silicone, so it will not Go Bad. Now your set! Thanks again and Share my video, for all that needs help.

    Well done David. The extra length of the hose that connects to the bottle was throwing me off. Not sure why they would make that side so much longer than it needs to be but a great and cheap fix!

    Just to help guys what ford told me was I had same issue replaced the hose didn’t leak and then a month later it did again. Ford said that the plastic nipple on the bottom of the tank becomes warped and causes leak hopefully this helps so that’s why this kit works perfect applies a lot more pressure then that clip

    It's a major PITA trying to attach that hose to the tank. Even using boiling water and a heat gun it was still unbelievably hard to slip on.

    I have this same leak but is there not an Oring that can be replaced? I replaced Orings in the T fitting for upper & lower hoses was hoping the same for the coolant bottle like.

    • @davidcanary7369
      @davidcanary7369  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, there are o rings that can be replaced. Use some lube on the new o rings when reinstalling and you’ll be fine.

    There a 0-ring inside that hose. All u had to do was replace it. U went through a lot of trouble for a $4 o ring. As a ford tech I've replaced any of those

    • @hillbillyridesharedriver5458
      @hillbillyridesharedriver5458 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Twist_the_wrist83 I looked at replacing the O-ring but checking out the forums where people have done that, they only seem to last a few thousand miles. But yeah that would be easier.

    • @BeardedFordTech
      @BeardedFordTech 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hillbilly Rideshare Driver yea I just went by the dealership I worked at. Ford is telling them to replace the hose and the tank

      My 2012 f150 5.0 has no o ring on the reservoir connection. Unhooked it and no o ring or a place to put one. I put on the Pegasus kit.

    • @BeardedFordTech
      @BeardedFordTech 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      timglenleigh1 you are correct. I'm thinking of the upper radiator hose. It has a o ring. I just replaced the hoses and the resivoir on my 2011 5.0. The Dealership I used to work at actually had one in stock and gave me employee price on it. Those things aren't cheap. It's part of the airbox
