    Very good, I like to watch your videos, you are getting better every time and most importantly you are an honest person and you give us proper reviews in my opinion!
    I would go for the Max6 g2 combo on a 1/7 scale, I tried it, and it is very good, in my opinion.
    Keep it up.

      Haha, thanks. Only have a couple of days left of summer and in a couple of months it'll start to get crappy again. Hopefully this winter won't be too bad and I can get some run vids in...
      Thanks again for stopping by. 😎👍

    I have to try this combo in my punisher for sure i have the max8g2 esc also try the backflip 6s wheels maybe a tad bit lighter to help with temps

    Looking good Vas! Sucks about the esc cutting. I may pick one of these up I’m not sure yet, the style is definitely insane😍😍 Reminds me of the old Big Rock Nero which I dearly miss and regret selling.

    I just picked up this truck. Was hoping to run this motor but I’m not so sure after seeing your heat issues. Maybe a hobbywing 4985 would be better? I try not to run fans, have bad luck with them doing big air at gravel yards

    • @AussieRCPlayground

      This motor is fine, it just needs a smaller pinion and maybe some fans to keep temps at bay. I'm also planning on swapping out the ESC for a Max6 which should help as well.

      @@AussieRCPlayground looking forward to it! I went with a hobbystar 4292 for now. RC Juice had a crazy sale on a bunch of motors (just in the states I think 🫠) and got one for under $50 🤯🤯😎

    If you're going to gear up d. Engines you need massive airflow. Or just upgrade to 8s already

  • @phillybrc

    That gearing was pure savage while it lasted! Totally rips. Are those Proline tires belted or non? Wicked sends Vas

    • @AussieRCPlayground

      These are the non belted ones. I find the belted tyres aren't great for bashing as you loose grip and air control. 😉

      @@AussieRCPlayground Agreed. A little lighter too. 👌🏻

    seems a bit all over the place with those tires maybe you need thicker diff fluid in the centre or try backflip 6s tires

    • @TranceFur

      Thinner center diff oil provides more on-power stability. Thicker diff oil tends to do exactly what’s shown in the video

    50,000front 500,000mid 30,000rear and put a high rpm fan on motor and esc but make sure the fans have there own power source such as a baby 2-3s 1100 mah protek mini lipo battery for lights and fans!

    • @AussieRCPlayground

      My biggest issue is finding a fan bracket that will fit this size motor. I would either need to modify a fan mount from a 40mm motor or fabricate one myself.
      Also, 1100mah battery for that fan? That's huge!! Why would you need one so big? Surely a 500mah would do..?

      It's the G1. I've had this ESC for a while now and been waiting for a home for it, so I tried it in here. I think gearing might fix it, otherwise I'll try something else...

      @@AussieRCPlayground thanks for your reply Vas, i have just purchased the G2 & have noticed it is rated @ 160amp now where as the earlier version was rated @ 150Amp & i agree with your gearing thoughts, something as simple as the pinion as we know could solve such am issue, keep up your continued great videos mate & i also have to say that your weather looks much warmer than over here in the uk 🇬🇧 🥶

    Oh what a shame! Surely you were looking forward to this run. I always thought that 5S is the sweat spot for 1/8-ish scale cars. But it’s not really possible for esc’s to auto detect this. But when you think of it, 4S is a little tame and 6S is most of the time a bit too much realistically.

    • @AussieRCPlayground

      In this case, I think it's just gearing that's the issue. I think that's the case, but I might try something different and give it another go. 😏

    Any RC that is 4s to 6s really needs to come with belted tires and Fans on both esc and motor should be standard from factory on RC'S with 4s to 6s brushless setups !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • @AussieRCPlayground

      Belted tyres typically have less grip and because they don't expand it makes it harder to control the RC in flight. With less rotational mass, there's less control. 😉
      I agree that fans on motors should be standard from factory, but this is not a factory setup, it's my own experimental system and I may have slightly over geared it. Or I just need a bigger ESC to handle the amp draw from such a big motor. 😁
