Been Farming Long? 2018 Planting & Visiting with Dad in the Tractor

This project has been a long time coming. My goal was not only to share a part of the story of agriculture, but also to capture a little of my own family’s story.
Because I’m so close to this story, it’s been hard to say the video is “done” and to share it. I feel like I could work on it forever and never be completely satisfied with the final product. I know it is far from perfect and that there is still so much room for improvement. Regardless, I pushed myself to try new things and so I count that as a personal success.
More importantly, this project shares a piece of the story of agriculture and captures the real people who work hard to produce food for people around the world. My hope is that this video makes its way beyond our agricultural circles to people who are curious about how their food is produced and what farming today looks like.
