This project has been a long time coming. My goal was not only to share a part of the story of agriculture, but also to capture a little of my own family’s story. Because I’m so close to this story, it’s been hard to say the video is “done” and to share it. I feel like I could work on it forever and never be completely satisfied with the final product. I know it is far from perfect and that the...

    That corn came up together, and this makes me think about music, places, and things Corny is what most folks say when they first hear a rap artist/singer but then they link up with some who are just starting like them or have been out there like a corn on the cob that's been grilled"😁" (A lot of folks don't know about cob on the grill)🤤 and just like all cornfields, there's someone who is afraid to walk through one..😊 Think about the music industry,places, and things😱 So don't be offended when you're called corny or of folks tell you that you need to switch it up God will plant you where you need to be in due season🌽...🍿 Keep God first🇺🇲

    We have had ten acres of gamagrass since 1996, in two very healthy stands. Only once, on a small portion of one field, has any burn taken place, when a hay baler caught fire. If cattle graze it three to five times per year, or if it is baled, does it really need to be burned?

    • @laurafarm
      @laurafarm 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      These are seed production fields! We are not growing them for grazing or hat, but to produce and harvest the seed.

    Man I cant wait to hit the reset button. Let’s hope that the coming year isn’t like this year. I’m not sure how many farms can take another year like this. Sure seemed like it never let up. In my area there are ranchers selling cow because they could not get hay put up due to the amount of rain we got. Hay meadows are still standing water. Let’s hope things change in 2020!!
