One tiny detail, cause you dont mention in the video or title that your guide is meant for NVIDIA only: RivaTuner is not required or needed if you on AMD GPU due to Adrenaline, you can cap/limit the FPS from there for AMD(aside the ingame option).
@@alucardstr3ams647 oh thanks for saying that. I never had an amd gpu so I don’t know what it’s like to have that. Anyway I will keep this info in mind and thanks
Ok i figured it out. It does feel very smooth if you cap fps at 60, but the more fps you try to artificially generate the more stutter you will have, makes sense. Really cool App tho, thanks for the tutorial!
If ur monitor is 120hz then capping it at 60 fps and putting 2x in lossless is the best way to play. If u gave a 60hz monitor then capping the game at 3 and then running lossless at 2x is the best way. But if u already get 120 and 60 fps respectively then there really is no need for this app
I actually don't think you need rivatuner at all for elden ring since its already caped at 60. I certainly didnt. But great tutorial for other games that can use it
@@jayrrr5187 oh yea u don’t need riva tuner but for me I only get 40 fps consistent so for me I need it. But if this guide helped u please like so this video can help other people too
@@emulation_paradise i did every step, i have amd, so i set the max frame latency to 3. Im trying it in minecraft right now and it still just feels a little better than playing with 40fps, but not by much, its pretty stuttery.
@@ClayWheeler are u really sure it only showed 120 fps in counter or u do actually get 120fps? Because when a game is full scream lossless scaling can’t work
i still dont get why u cap it at 60 when ur monitor is above 144 hz? it means you cant run lossless scaling on high refresh rate monitor? then its useless haha
You mean when I cap my FPS at 60 when playing god of war?? If so I capped it because I only get 30 FPS in god of war, so with lossless scaling doubling my FPS. I will still only get 60 FPS. And when using lossless scaling u should generally limit your monitor to how much fps u will get after lossless scaling for the best input delay. So in that context since I only get 60 FPS. It’s best that I cap it at 60 HZ, even tough I have a 165HZ monitor
i have a better settings on god of war 3 if you want its smoother Scaling type Ls1 performance on both Scaling mode custom=1 Mode:x2 Sync mode: vsync thats it try it
Yes this can work for pc games but for emulators it won’t work as efficiently as ls1 is used when the gpu is at 100% and can’t give more fps. But emulators are cpu intensive so ls1 will only give a very small advantage
