    Hi, I’m currently doing this project and I’m really enjoying it! I’m confused about how to attach the front and back panels. I think you’ve done them before finishing off the back and front panels but I didn’t see it. Is it just a slip stitch join?

    • @kims_threads
      @kims_threads  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hello! Yes I slip stitched the front and back ends together, that clip must have gotten missed thanks for catching it!

    I honestly am lost for something’s and I wish there was a bit more demonstration on some parts, also do I cut the yarn to move on to the neck ribbing? I’m so very confused 😢 but I want to give it my all just a bit lost 😞

      @@abbeymore1151 Hi, sorry to hear you're having trouble!
      Yes you'd need to cut your yarn to move onto the neck ribbing. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask! :)
      This was one of my first video tutorials and can understand if some parts were unclear

    If i wanted to make it a full sweater down to my waist instead of just a bolero, would i just make the back and the front pieces longer, and then just sew them together in the sides at the end?

    Hi. I was wondering whether I can use light worsted yarn instead. Will it end up smaller even if I use the same size hooks?

    • @kims_threads
      @kims_threads  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can do a gauge swatch to find out, 2x2 dc chsps will measure to be about 1.5"x1.5"

  • @Alwayssjess

    Wait are you doing 3 half double crochets in every diagonal stitch and then the 3 in the middle between them you do 2 half double crochets in the same stitch?

    • @kims_threads
      @kims_threads  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, for the hdc edge I did 2 hdc in the diagonal chainspaces, and 1 hdc in the stitch in between. For horizontal chainspaces (like in the center) I did 3 hdc and put 1 hdc in the stitch in-between. Hope that helps! xx

    How do you decrease on the curved panel? I’m stuck and it keeps getting wider, but no decrease. I’m confused please help. When decreasing in the last two do you chain two or just double crochet?

    • @kims_threads
      @kims_threads  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! To decrease on the panels I do this by not chaining and instead DC into the next DC of the previous row. Then for the next row I chain 3 and skip 4 stitches to DC into the 3rd DC on the previous row. For a visual representation, check out 3:40, you can pause at 4:19 to see it laid flat. Hope that helps! :)

      @@kims_threadsI finished the two rows but after I get stuck still. Im a beginner and still really confused. How do I do the new row? Is it chain 3 then skip 4? I did that but it ended up the same as the last two rows 😅.

    • @kims_threads
      @kims_threads  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! The total project was about 350 grams so I would estimate each sleeve being 150-175 grams, hope that helps! :)

    What do I do if my middle ends up between two double crochet stitches? lmao.
    I used my own measurements for this, and I didn't know there should me a middle double crochet stitch. Do I just put my stitch marker in the middle between them?

      For future tutorials I'd mention things like this ahead of time to avoid issues like this, but otherwise the tutorial is great so far!

    She didn’t get a good angle of crochet the neck so it was really hard for me to get it. Does anyone know how to do it? I understand how to ribbon but when it comes to the 2 slip st I’m confused on where on have to put it does that make sense? How many do I have to put it on?

    • @kims_threads
      @kims_threads  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi! You would slip stitch into the next two stitches of the neck line (the 2 chains next to where the ribbing starts at 7:03), then turn and skip the slip stitches to continue single crocheting in the back loop only to create the ribbing. The two slipstitches are like a turning chain, it will create the height and taper for the rows on the inside of the ribbing. I hope that helps!

    I started making it and I’m working on the sleeves now but somehow it’s wayy bigger than yours- I’m worried now that the sleeves are gonna be too puffy, do you think I can start with the reducing rows earlier? 😅

    • @kims_threads
      @kims_threads  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi yes if you wanted to start the reducing rows earlier you can! My sleeve is 30 chainspaces around, alternatively you could adjust the length of the body cut-outs (at 4:49) to be shorter which would make the sleeves less puffy. Hope that helps!

    I have no idea how to reattach any of my string to these new spaces, and then you say to hdc into the stitches but half of them aren’t even there and it made it look horrible
